Question 1

What improvements does the ASUS XG27ACG R monitor offer in refresh rate and color accuracy compared to its previous model?

Accepted Answer

The ASUS XG27ACG R offers a jump in refresh rate to 180Hz, which is noticeably higher than many previous models that typically max out at 144Hz. This means smoother and faster gameplay, especially for professional gamers aiming for high frame rates. On the color side, it supports 95% DCI-P3, delivering more vibrant and accurate colors compared to older models with lower color gamut coverage.

Keep in mind, pushing 180Hz means you’ll want a powerful GPU to consistently hit those frame rates, or you might not see the full benefit. Also, the inclusion of ASUS’s Fast IPS and ELMB SYNC helps reduce motion blur and tearing, making fast-paced scenes clearer, which can be a real boost during competitive gaming sessions.

Question 2

How responsive is ASUS customer service for warranty claims and RMA processing with the XG27ACG R monitor?

Accepted Answer

ASUS customer service for warranty claims and RMA processing on the XG27ACG tends to be responsive within typical industry standards, often resolving issues within a few weeks depending on the region. Since this monitor comes with a standard warranty, you can expect support for hardware defects or failures covered under the policy, though exact timelines can vary.

Keep in mind that the warranty and RMA service experience may fluctuate based on your location and how busy the support center is; some users report quicker responses when working directly through authorized service centers. If you want faster turnaround, registering your product right after purchase and keeping proof of purchase handy will help smooth the process.

Question 3

What is the step-by-step process to connect and configure the ASUS XG27ACG R monitor with G-SYNC on a Windows 10 gaming PC?

Accepted Answer

To connect and configure the ASUS XG27ACG for G-SYNC on a Windows 10 PC, plug the monitor into your graphics card using DisplayPort for the best compatibility. Then, enable G-SYNC in the NVIDIA Control Panel under "Display" > "Set up G-SYNC," making sure to check the box for enabling it on your preferred display. This monitor’s 180Hz refresh rate combined with G-SYNC support ensures smooth gameplay with minimal tearing if your GPU can push high frame rates at 1440p.

Keep in mind that G-SYNC works best when your frame rate aligns closely with the monitor’s refresh rate, so pairing this display with a capable GPU like an RTX 3070 or higher will maximize the benefits. Also, using DisplayPort instead of USB-C or HDMI is important since G-SYNC requires it on this model. If you experience any flickering or stuttering, toggling ELMB SYNC in the on-screen menu can help maintain image clarity while keeping tear-free performance.

Question 4

Should I buy the ASUS 27'' QHD 2K 180Hz IPS GSYNC XG27ACG R now or wait for the next generation for better features?

Accepted Answer

If you need a high-refresh-rate 27" QHD IPS display right now, the ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACG offers excellent performance with its 180Hz refresh and 1ms response time, plus both FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility for smooth gaming. Its HDR400 and 95% DCI-P3 color gamut also make it a solid pick for both gaming and creative work without waiting for the next generation.

That said, if you're not in a rush, upcoming models might bring features like higher brightness, even faster refresh rates, or HDMI 2.1 for better console support. However, unless you specifically need those newer tech improvements, this monitor delivers strong specs today and is well-suited for competitive gaming and immersive visuals.

Question 5

How does the ease of installation and system compatibility of the ASUS XG27ACG R compare to the Dell S2721DGF QHD 27'' gaming monitor?

Accepted Answer

The ASUS XG27ACG R is straightforward to install with its standard VESA mount and USB-C connectivity, which also supports DisplayPort Alt mode for a cleaner setup. Its compatibility is broad, supporting both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync, making it flexible for a range of gaming PCs and laptops. The fast IPS panel and 180Hz refresh rate cater well to high-performance gaming systems.

Compared to the Dell S2721DGF, the ASUS offers some extra AI gaming features and ELMB Sync for motion blur reduction that might appeal to enthusiasts, but both monitors are close in terms of plug-and-play ease and system support. If you use a device with USB-C output, the ASUS’s single-cable solution could reduce clutter, whereas Dell relies on more traditional HDMI and DisplayPort inputs.

Question 6

What kind of USB port does this monitor have?

Accepted Answer

The monitor has a USB-C port with DP Alt Mode.

Question 7

Can I adjust the monitor settings easily?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the monitor settings can be adjusted easily with the DisplayWidget Center using a mouse.

Question 8

Does this monitor have any technology to prevent motion blur?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this monitor features ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB SYNC) technology, which eliminates ghosting and tearing for sharp gaming visuals with high frame rates.

Question 9

What is the warranty period for this monitor?

Accepted Answer

The warranty period for this monitor is 3 years.

Question 10

Is the monitor capable of being mounted on a wall or a stand?
