I see people saying this monitor has Freesync.  Can anyone positively confirm that it does, it works and the range?  If you don't have a Freesync compatible GPU please feel free to not reply just to tell me that.

Yes it has FreeSync. You can enable it and disable it in the monitor settings. It has a range of 48-144Hz.

I don't have an AMD capable device to test the function, but there is a menu item on the screen to enable FreeSync (Menu -> Other -> FreeSync: Choices are On or Off).

This monitor is freesync capable, which works with ati's cards... it will sill work with the nvidia, you just wont be able to utilize gsync

It's out now.  I have it and it's a good monitor.  I went from a Dell 27 1440p 144hz to this.  Maxing out 1080p @ 144hz is pretty hard even with a GTX 1070, let alone 1440p.  So far I am happy with the change.  The colors are much better on the MSI.

Are folks with the blue halo issues using hdmi or display port?

I never had an issue, i also dont have an amd card, i use this with 3x sli'ed evga gtx 980ti ftw cards, with the 144mhz refresh rate is good, helps me in my FSP games, it must be an AMD thing. to get the full 144mhz you have to use the DP plug, not the HDMI.

It doesn't appear to be officially stated anywhere except that it's from Samsung, but every review I've read is predicting it's a VA based panel.
