Is there an audio out for external speakers?

Yes there is an audio out for external speakers. It has a headphone icon next to the audio out jack which can be used to provide an auido input to a speaker system. The speaker system will have to provide its own power to drive the speakers as the headphone out jack does not have the power to drive speakers directly.

How are the colors on the screen? Also how are the blacks?

Seems pretty fairly balanced, black to white, but I don't think it's especially bright. I hooked up am Xbox360 to it up at my cabin, didn't use it as a PC monitor. It's better than my dynex 40", but just doesn't seem especially vivid. I'd say it was worth the money though. Got it for $130.

Does this have holes on the back for mounting?

Yes, it has standard mounting holes (4) on the back.  Actually is a decent monitor for the price.  Includes VGA, DVI, and HDMI.  Backlighting is LED but it can look a bit washed out, especially on a black or dark screen, but for the price, it seems to be a good buy.  Only comes with a VGA cable and the adapter has like a 3 or 4ft cord.  Kinda short.

Question 4

Is there a way to remove the bottom neck, after I have already taken the bottom dish stand off?

Because when I have this monitor mounted the neck on the bottom still sticks out.

I feel your pain, and I have not removed it. I got used to it and use it as a handle to move the monitor around. At first I was pissed it was there but now after a couple of years. I am glad it it there...

How does one adjust the tilt angle of the upstar monitor while avoiding damaging or hurting the panel?

Hold it on the plastic sides of the monitor and just tilt it, it really isn't so delicate that it will break from adjusting it :)

Can I easily switch between VGA and HDMI inputs, i.e. thru a menu option or button, so I can switch between these 2 inputs?
