Question 1

Should I get the ZOWIE XQ2566X or the XL2566X+?

Accepted Answer

Choose the XQ2566X if you want QHD detail on a 24.1-inch screen, plus DyAc 3 and HDMI 2.1. Choose the XL2566X+ if you prioritize its higher 400Hz refresh rate for 1080p esports play. The XQ2566X is a stronger fit when sharper detail matters and your PC can deliver high frame rates at QHD; the XL2566X+ favors maximum refresh rate at lower resolution.

Question 2

Should I choose the 24.1-inch XQ2566X or the 27-inch XQ2766X?

Accepted Answer

Both models pair QHD resolution with a 360Hz refresh rate, Fast TN, and DyAc 3. Choose the XQ2566X for a more compact screen that keeps the action within a smaller viewing area. Choose the XQ2766X if you prefer a larger 27-inch image; it occupies more desk space, while retaining the same resolution and refresh rate.

Question 3

Is the XQ2566X or the XL2586X+ better for competitive FPS?

Accepted Answer

Choose the XQ2566X for QHD resolution and 360Hz gameplay, especially if you play battle royale titles or want more image detail. Choose the XL2586X+ if your priority is its 600Hz maximum refresh rate for games and hardware that can produce very high frame rates at 1080p. The practical choice depends on whether you value higher resolution or a higher refresh-rate ceiling more.

Question 4

Is the XQ2566X a worthwhile upgrade from the older XL2566K?

Accepted Answer

The XQ2566X is an upgrade if you want to keep a compact esports monitor while moving from 1080p to QHD. Both are 360Hz ZOWIE displays, so the main reason to switch is sharper resolution and newer features such as HDMI 2.1 and DyAc 3—not a higher refresh rate. If 1080p already suits your games and setup, the XL2566K’s core refresh-rate target remains similar.

Question 5

Can I use this monitor for office work as well as gaming?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it can handle general computer use: it has a 2560 × 1440 resolution and a stand with height, swivel, and tilt adjustments. It is best considered a gaming-first monitor, however; the listed specifications do not include built-in speakers, a webcam, or USB ports, and its panel is TN.

Question 6

Will my PC run games at 360Hz on this monitor?

Accepted Answer

The monitor is rated for 360Hz, but that does not guarantee a game will run at 360 frames per second. Achieving that frame rate depends on the PC, game, and settings. The XQ2566X lists DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1; check that your system supports 2560 × 1440 at 360Hz over the connection you plan to use.

Question 7

Can I mount the XQ2566X on a monitor arm?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It has a 100 × 100 mm VESA mounting pattern. Choose an arm that supports that pattern and can safely hold the monitor; the product listing gives its weight as 15.21 lb.

Question 8

Who is the BenQ ZOWIE XQ2566X best suited for?

Accepted Answer

It is aimed at esports and other fast-paced PC gaming, especially for players who want QHD resolution and a 360Hz refresh rate on a 24.1-inch screen. Its TN panel and gaming-focused features make it a gaming-first choice; the listed specifications do not describe it as a general-purpose or color-production monitor.

Question 9

Is the XQ2566X suitable for games beyond competitive shooters?

Accepted Answer

It can be used for other games, but it is most compelling if competitive FPS or battle royale performance is your priority. One owner said they enjoyed it for FPS games but preferred OLED for gaming outside that category. Its 24.1-inch TN panel and 360Hz refresh rate reflect that competitive focus.

Question 10

Is 1440p useful on a 24.1-inch monitor for competitive gaming?

Accepted Answer

The XQ2566X combines 2560 × 1440 resolution with a 24.1-inch screen and 360Hz refresh rate. Reddit discussions raise whether this size and resolution suit competitive play, but they do not establish a universal preference. Consider it if you want QHD detail at this screen size; compare with other sizes if you prefer a larger display.
