Question 1

i want to use this monitor for a xbox series x and eventually a pc once I build one, does the weird wifi cords mean this isn't compatible with a xbox series x or is it just an added feature that does not need to be used?

Accepted Answer

I use mine for both Xbox and PC and it works great. The WiFi connectors are optional and meant to be used with PC if you decide to use the monitor stand as a WiFi antennae. All you need to connect to Xbox Series X is a good HDMI cable. The monitor also has Display Port for when you're ready to connect to a PC.

Question 2

What are the recommended power supply specifications and cable management tips to ensure optimal setup for the ASROCK 27" QHD 2K 180Hz IPS PG27QFT2A monitor?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock PG27QFT2A monitor uses a standard external power adapter, typically rated around 19V/3.42A or similar, but the exact PSU specs aren’t listed in the retail description—best to check the included adapter or manufacturer’s site. For cable management, it’s beneficial to route the HDMI or DisplayPort cables neatly behind the stand using the monitor’s height-adjustable arm, which helps avoid strain on the connectors and keeps your desk tidy.

If you’re setting it up in a tight space, consider using shorter cables or cable ties to reduce clutter, especially since it supports dual HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. The flexible stand adjustments help position the screen ergonomically, so pairing that with well-organized cables will make for a cleaner and more efficient gaming setup.

Question 3

What enhancements in color accuracy and response time does the ASROCK PG27QFT2A 27" QHD 180Hz IPS monitor have over its previous generation models?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock PG27QFT2A improves on its previous models by offering a higher refresh rate of 180Hz paired with a 1ms response time, which enhances smoothness and reduces motion blur during fast-paced gaming. Additionally, its 99% sRGB coverage and VESA DisplayHDR 400 support boost color accuracy and HDR performance for more vibrant and precise visuals.

Keep in mind, while the IPS panel provides excellent color consistency and viewing angles, pushing 180Hz at 1440p demands a capable GPU to fully benefit from the faster refresh rate. If your setup isn’t powerful enough, you might not notice the difference as much, but for competitive gaming, these specs offer a tangible upgrade over typical 144Hz panels.

Question 4

Can you mount this via vesa?

Accepted Answer

ANSWER: Yes
DETAILS: ASROCK's mfg page for this device shows under specifications "VESA Mounting: Plate Type: 100 x 100mm (4 screw holes)"

Question 5

What is the typical warranty coverage for the ASROCK PG27QFT2A 27" QHD 180Hz IPS monitor, and how responsive is their RMA process for handling defective units?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock PG27QFT2A typically comes with a standard one-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and hardware issues. This gives you peace of mind that if any display or hardware problems arise within that period, you can get support or a replacement without additional cost.

ASRock’s RMA process is generally straightforward but can vary depending on your location and retailer policies. If you encounter issues after the warranty expires, repairs or replacements might involve additional fees, so keeping purchase receipts and registering your product early is a good idea.

Question 6

Is it better to buy the ASROCK 27" QHD 180Hz IPS PG27QFT2A monitor now or wait for the next generation models with potentially higher refresh rates and updated features?

Accepted Answer

The ASRock Phantom Gaming 27" PG27QFT2A offers a solid 180Hz refresh rate at QHD with reliable IPS color and AMD FreeSync, which makes it a great choice for smooth gaming right now. Unless you specifically need a higher refresh rate than 180Hz or features beyond DisplayHDR 400, it’s well-equipped for most high-refresh 1440p gaming setups.

If you’re holding out for the next generation, keep in mind any improvements might come with a higher price and a wait time. Also, unless your GPU can consistently push frame rates above 180fps at 1440p, upgrades beyond this model won’t offer a noticeable benefit. This monitor strikes a good balance between performance and price at the moment.

Question 7

How does the multi-threaded performance of the ASROCK PG27QFT2A 27" QHD 180Hz IPS monitor compare to the single-threaded performance of the Acer Nitro XV272U 27" QHD 165Hz IPS monitor in high-refresh gaming scenarios?

Accepted Answer

Monitors like the ASRock PG27QFT2A and the Acer Nitro XV272U don’t have multi-threaded or single-threaded performance because those terms relate to CPUs, not displays. Both monitors can deliver high refresh rates—180Hz for the ASRock and 165Hz for the Acer—which mainly impacts how smooth the gameplay looks, but the actual gaming performance depends on your GPU and CPU.

If you’re focused on a high-refresh gaming experience, the slight difference in refresh rates won’t affect CPU load or threading performance. Instead, prioritize your PC’s processor and graphics card, as the monitor purely displays what the GPU outputs. The ASRock’s 180Hz might offer a marginally smoother experience if your system can push those frames consistently.

Question 8

Does this monitor have built-in speakers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the monitor has built-in speakers.

Question 9

What is the power consumption of this monitor?

Accepted Answer

The power consumption of the monitor is a maximum of 55W.

Question 10

Can I adjust the height and tilt of this monitor?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the monitor allows for height and tilt adjustments.
