Question 1

What common durability problems or mechanical failures have users experienced with the DUAL 38 Inch Stack Monitor Mount Pole Freestand after long-term use?

Accepted Answer

Users have reported that over long-term use, the most common issues with the SIIG Dual 38IN vertical freestanding monitor stand tend to be loosening of the mounting screws and some wobbling, especially when the monitors are near the 26.5 lbs max weight. The stand’s heavy-duty build and 31.6-inch adjustable pole usually keep things stable, but heavier or larger curved ultrawide screens can put extra strain on the joints.

If you’re setting this up with very heavy or wide monitors, it helps to periodically tighten all the screws and check that the clamp remains secure on the desk. Compared to wall mounts, this freestanding option trades some rigidity for easier adjustability, so small shifts over time are normal but manageable with a little maintenance.

Question 2

How does the dual 38 inch stack monitor mount pole freestand support different monitor weights and adjust for ergonomic viewing angles during extended use?

Accepted Answer

This freestanding dual monitor stand supports different monitor weights up to 26.5 lbs each by using a heavy-duty base and a sturdy 31.6-inch adjustable pole, providing a solid foundation that prevents tipping. It offers full motion adjustments, including tilt, swivel, and height changes, allowing you to position each 38-inch flat, curved, or ultrawide monitor vertically for ergonomic comfort during long work sessions.

Keep in mind that when loading heavier or ultrawide monitors, adjusting the tension for smooth movement might require a bit of trial and error to maintain stability. Compared to wall or desk mounts, a freestanding option like this can be easier to install and reposition but may take up slightly more desk space.

Question 3

Is this stand a better fit than a dual monitor mount for screens up to 32 inches?

Accepted Answer

The CE-MT5J11-S1 is the better fit when you want two screens stacked vertically, use displays larger than 32 inches, or need up to 26.5 lb capacity per screen. A 32-inch-class option such as SIIG’s CE-MT2U12-S1 is intended for smaller, lighter monitors—up to 32 inches and 17.6 lb each—and uses a desk clamp or grommet mount rather than a freestanding base.

Question 4

Should I choose this stand or a heavy-duty dual monitor arm for larger screens?

Accepted Answer

Choose the CE-MT5J11-S1 for two monitors stacked vertically, with a freestanding base and support for screens up to 38 inches and 26.5 lb each. Consider SIIG’s CE-MT3211-S1 if you need a desk-mounted, gas-spring arm setup with a higher stated per-screen capacity; check its mounting requirements and monitor layout against your desk and workspace before choosing.

Question 5

Should I get the SIIG CE-MT5J11-S1 or the clamp-mounted CE-MT5G11-S1?

Accepted Answer

Choose the CE-MT5J11-S1 if you want a freestanding stacked setup that you can position without attaching it to the desk. Choose the CE-MT5G11-S1 if your desk can accept a C-clamp or grommet mount and you want the mount secured to the desk. Both support two 13–38-inch displays up to 26.5 lb each; SIIG specifies the clamp and grommet versions provide greater stability when adjusting monitors.

Question 6

Will this stand fit curved or ultrawide monitors?

Accepted Answer

It is designed for flat, curved, and ultrawide monitors up to 38 inches. Check that each monitor has a 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm VESA pattern and weighs no more than 26.5 lb.

Question 7

Who is this vertical monitor stand suited for?

Accepted Answer

It suits users who want to stack two compatible monitors rather than place them side by side, such as when reducing the desk width used by the displays is a priority. Confirm each monitor meets the size, weight, and VESA requirements.

Question 8

How much can each monitor weigh?

Accepted Answer

Each monitor can weigh up to 26.5 lb. Check the weight of each display separately, along with its VESA mounting pattern, before buying.

Question 9

Can I stack two monitors vertically on this stand?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is a vertical dual-monitor stand designed to stack two displays on its 31.6-inch adjustable pole. Its full-motion design supports monitor positioning through tilt, swivel, and rotation.

Question 10

How can I organize cables and ensure proper clearance around the Dual 38 Inch Stack Monitor Mount Pole Freestand to avoid clutter and maintain stable power connections?

Accepted Answer

You can manage cables neatly by using cable clips or Velcro straps along the 31.6-inch adjustable pole of the stand. The pole’s height and shape make it easy to bundle and route cables so they don’t hang loosely and cause clutter. Since each mount supports up to 26.5 lbs, keeping cables tidy also helps avoid unnecessary tension that could affect the stand’s stability.

If you have multiple heavy monitors or peripherals, consider leaving a bit of slack in the cables near the base to prevent strain when adjusting the monitors. Also, since the stand supports flat, curved, and ultrawide displays, double-check that cable lengths are sufficient for your specific setup to avoid pulling during movement or height adjustments.
