Does the Nano Transceiver have to be used or can it be paired with built in blutooth on a tablet?

This is not a bluetooth mouse, it comes with a transmitter to connect via USB to your computer.  The USB transmitter is barely the size of a type A USB connector, it is meant to be left connected to a laptop (or desktop) permanently and will likely not interfere with placing a laptop into its carry case.

Due to its size I would recommend it for both. It's big enough for a desktop system and small enough for a laptop. I use it for my laptop but on occaision. I have used it with a desktop (My other mouse died and needed a quick solution).
