How easy does the dongle become dislodged from its holding site? I plan on relocating work areas quite often and want to ensure that I do not lose the dongle.

It doesn't I've had mine in my laptop for a few years now and it hasn't ever come out without me intentionally pulling it out.

What is the difference between the RVF-00052 model and the RVF-00001 model?

I'm not sure of the difference but I can tell you that the one I bought has been excellent. I have used this for almost 2 years and is perfect. I travel a lot so that fact that it folds down makes it really easy to store or fit in laptop case. You will not be disappointed in this mouse.

Does this mouse have bluetooth capabilities for the Surface Tablet?

No. This is not a Bluetooth device. It has a USB dongle for connectivity.
