Question 1

Are these just stereo headphones? Nowhere in specifications does it say, so I am left assuming they are. I prefer 7.1 sound for game play for obvious reasons.

Accepted Answer

On their own, they are just stereo. If you have sound card, the headphones will support surround sound. I cannot say for 7.1, but in my case they support 5.1 just fine. I can even confirm it using sound card application test, i.e. sounds are generated at right "angles" for 5.1 configuration. I use Creative X-fi. For standalone 7.1 support, but GSP350.

Question 2

I'm having trouble with the sensitivity of my microphone. It seems like the voice threshhold is way too high for me as I have to shove the boom into my mouth for me to get words through, and that's both not ideal and I would assume not intended. I'm not sure what settings I need to change but I tried turning the voice amplifier up all the way on both my motherboard's software and in Windows, and turned the microphone volume up to 100 but neither worked. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

I am assuming that you dont have sound card, in which case try also adjusting in applications. Applications like games and VoIp have gain setting in sound options. Otherwise, If your MB has Gain multiplier, you may try that as well. It normaly involves openining your PC and toggling little toggle switch. Check your MB manual. Lastly, try to lower the mic closer to your mouth.
