Does this work on windows 8 operating systems?

Whether this work on windows 8 or not this mouse scanner is not as good as they make it look in the demo video. You may spend a good amount of time just to get an acceptable scanned page. I bought it for $49.00, therefore, I would not pay $79.99 for this item now.

I have Windows 8 and we couldn't get it installed on my computer. Can anybody give us some advice?

Currently LG company is not having driver software for Windows 8 (or Windows 8.1).  The LG mouse only works on Windows 7 or Windows Vista or Windows XP.  Note:  It also works with Mac computers (MAC OS X version 10.6 or 10.7).  The specs are obtained from LG USA website.  I have the mouse working perfectly on my computer running Windows 7 64-bit OS.

Does anyone know for sure if it works with the windows 8 operating system?

Yes it does work with windows 8.  I would caution you that this scanner is really for scanning small things.  I tried to scan a few 8.5x11 papers but unless you have something to hold them it is next to impossible to get a clean scan.

Question 4

Is this for any PC?  Will it scan from a book?

I have used it on a PC running Windows 7 and a Mac running OSX Lion.  Works fine on both.  It will technically work for scanning a book but will not be especially easy to use for that.  It works best with flat items that do not move.
