Is this headset noise-cancelling?

I'm not the most technical person, but I'll try to answer your question as best I can.  It is not advertised as noise cancelling and it's not in the sense that it has circitry which blocks out certain frequencies.  What it does have is exceptional materials, design and build.  I have a very large head with proportionate ears.  The fit of the ear muffs is such that I hear little of anything happening in the room around me. I can hear my wife's voice when she is at my side, but it is very muted.    I haven't listened to much music since I use the headset primarily for gaming but it  a wide well balanced spread of of frequencies and dynamic range.  Somewhere in the reviews it's said that this two channel (stereo) headset will do a good job of emulating surround sound.  I haven't fooled around with the virtual surround sound setting to verify that, but the I do notice that with out virtual surround sound toggled on, I hear footsteps behind me, can tell what kind of surface they're made and usually know how far and in what direction the other player is moving.  This is a very nice piece of equipment.

ok i have 2 questions (They are really stupid)

1. Is it capable with team speak/ skype or games like h1z1 where you can speak in the game?

2. is it comfortable

I can't speak to your games, but it does work fine in Skype, on a computer or on a cell phone/tablet. It has separate headphone and microphone 1/8 mini plugs and it comes with an adapter to the 4 conductor 1/8 plug that goes into cell phones...

It is quite comfortable.  It sounds great with general media, gaming, etc., but its bass response is a little weak when listening to Santana, as a point of reference...

Question 3

how long is the wire for this head set?

The attached part is around a meter long, but you get a braided extention with inline volume wheel and mute switch, which adds another meter or so.If that's still not enough, you get a non-braided extention, which is around 1.5-2 meters long.

Bottom line is cable length isn't a problem with this one, and I can highly recommend this headset.

Question 4

I was wondering if this is possible to use on an iMac late 2011 or 2012, where the Headphone port is also the Mic port and the port to the right of it is the Audio In port. Does anyone know?

The headset comes with an adapter to combine the audio and mic plugs into one audio/mic plug, so it'll probably work.

Question 5

Does using a analog headset have any cons? (using headphone and microphone ports to connect instead of USB)

There are a couple.  I have not had much luck with any kind of surround effects, despite some claims.  Also, the microphone mute button, at least on this headset, creates a horrendous thunk on the line, so be prepared to avoid using that.  A software mute button works fine.

Also, there is no capacity for skipping forward or back or fast-forwarding on a track.  (This headset does technically had a button on the "remote" that could be used as a skip forward, but I never got it to work).

As for a Pro...  you can easily switch this between devices.  I even use this headset on my mobile.  I'd argue that that would be a stretch for any USB headset.  :o)

One additional advantage for analog is the capability to support 96/24 or greater media, assuming your system can support this.  (96 KHz/24 bit)  This headset is good enough (and, frankly, comfortable enough) that you can hear the difference.  (OK, at least I feel that I can, despite my aging ears...)  I'm sure there are some USB units that probably can as well, but I don't see this called out very often, if at all.

One last observation --  I bought a separate USB "sound card" concerned possibly with similar thoughts you may be having.  I plug the headset into it, and then that into a USB.  It works fine.  I then have my inline controls that I sometimes want.  After some experience, though, I seem to be using this less and less; so, if that says anything....

Question 6

I mainly play on PC and i was wondering for this headset will my on board Realtek ALC1150 Codec be good enough to power these for good  sound? Also how would this headsets audio be compared to 7.1 audio?

Your audio hardware is one of Realtek's higher end Codecs, and is capable of putting out high definition 7.1 Dolby. This headset however does NOT support surround sound, which is unfortunate. The massive drivers require high quality hardware of some kind to really be brought to their full potential,but the ALC1150 should do that fine. As far as quality, you can simulate surround sound in software to get a bit of a boost but true surround sound will give you a much more immersive experience when gaming. These put out pretty high quality stereo audio so while they won't give you the same level of immersion they definitely play music well. Hope I answered whatever questions you may have had.

This or the Razer Kraken Pro? Buying it only for gaming, no need for music at all.

If you have a sound card, or a nice motherboard with good on board sound, this. These are high impedance so they require good amplification. The sound quality is better on all ranges, as is the mic quality, and the build quality on the HyperX Cloud. The high impedance means you need a high sound level to push them.
If you have low quality or low powered sound, you will be better off with a lower impedance(which usually comes at the cost of sound quality) headset as that would give you a better experience.

Question 8

Can this be used for the PS4/XBOX1?  I wanted to get a comfy headset that I can use with all available platforms.  If not can someone recommend a headset that will do this for me, I would greatly appreciated it.

Yes the headset comes with the adapter so that it will connect with both xbox one and ps4 systems, and personally this is the comfiest headset I have owned. I can where it for 10+ hours and I barely notice its there other than the crystal clear sound coming out.

Is this headset worth the price?

That is something you need to answer for yourself. In the realm of gaming headsets, this one is fairly low priced. For me, this headset works great and was well worth the price I paid.

Is there any software with this headset? I don't think there is but if there is how good is it?

No I don't believe there was..I bought it for my son for his birthday and was very impressed with how nice it was packaged and how comfortable they were on my head.
