Pros: * Excellent compatibility: RF, Bluetooth, Wired I prefer to used wired mouse for increased responsiveness, however in testing the bluetooth mode I didn't notice a difference. It's been a while since I've used a wireless mouse, it was a pleasant surprise. Overall plenty of ways to use it, however you see fit. * Easy to use Corsair iCUE. I've used iCUE many times before and it's always been pretty good. The mouse doesn't have extensive RGB options so it's very easy to control. Buttons can be remapped, lighting profiles, it's all pretty standard. I guess in that regard Corsair is hitting the mark. * Excellent battery life. I'm not even sure how long the battery lasts. I used it for 2 days without charging before I finally plugged it in. Even then, you can use the mouse in wired mode if you have battery issues. Although I doubt anyone would game consistently for several days straight! * Absurdly high 26,000+ DPI. I'm not the type of person to be picky about these things, nor am I a hyper-competitive gamer. I will say this is probably the smoothest mouse I've ever used, I'm sure the DPI plays a part in that.
Cons: * Limited RGB The RGB only applies to the single logo at the bottom edge of the mouse, where your hand sits. So I guess if you want to illuminate the area just above your palm it works great. Otherwise, I you can see it easily when not using the mouse! So it looks pretty when idling. Pretty disappointing.
Overall Review: * Great for claw grip. I can't judge this mouse for other grips but it should be no surprise it works great for claw, just by looking at it. It uses a small, compact, lightweight design which is perfect for gently gripping with your fingers. If you have big hands, or palm grip, you may want to avoid this. Your hand will probably drape over the edges. * It's light and there are no weights. This is neither a pro nor a con, but be aware. You may prefer weighty mice and not even realize it. The Corsair Sabre Pro is like a feather. It feels like I could blow on it, and knock it sideways. Just kidding. If you're looking for a no frills, basic RGB mouse, for claw grip, this is a good choice. I didn't find any issues with the mouse worth complaining about. Everything worked great, from the feel of the mouse, the buttons themselves, the software, the RGB, and the connectivity features. It does its job well.
Pros: You can use it Slipstream wireless, Bluetooth or wired RGB is easily configurable via Corsair ICUe software and the RGB is minimal, just the logo that is under your pal during use. Buttons can also be reconfigured Modifications are saved to memory on the mouse itself so you do not require the software once the settings are saved to the mouse The DPI button requires another button to be pressed with it so no accidental DPI changes Battery seem to last a long time and is recharged through the USB C cable, you could probably toss this onto any phone charger in a pinch if you needed to did I mention it is USB C Has a nice matte texture that feels good in the hand The pads are replaceable if they wear out. Profile button on the bottom for cycling through different configs you saved to the mouses internal memory.
Cons: This is more about the software and minor, but ICUe software alerted there was an update for the slipstream adapter but failed to upgrade it. This did not cause me any problems and may have been cause by any one of the many other apps I have installed. The charge cable is a little stiff if you planned to use it wired often, but I don't think that applies to many people
Overall Review: If you want a good wireless mouse that is very light, pick this one. If you like a really heavy mouse go elsewhere. This is a great mouse, it worked amazing on the slipstream and wired. I was able to configure it however I wanted. You can turn the RGB off , make it solid or have it do patterns of colors easily. The scroll mouse has a nice tactile feedback and a rubbery feel that makse it precise for gaming. The amount of time I was able to use the mouse without charging really made me happy and the fact that I can use it wired in the rare case I forgot to charge it is great. They even took the time to make the connector on the USB-C side with a longer rubbery section that makes it easier to disconnect because you can get a better grip on the tiny connector. I love that the mouse has internal memory to save the profiles. I have used other devices that needed to connect to software on my PC before any of my configs loaded which was annoying. This mouse acts exactly as you want no matter where you use it thanks to the saved profiles which can easily be cycled through. I only have one for work and one for gaming, but you can save a few more than that. I really struggled to come with any cons and the ones I did are super minor. I think Corsair knocked it out of the park for a light wireless mouse. Unless you really wanted a heavy mouse, get this one.
Pros: Light weight Small Wireless Dongle Compartment in the mouse to store SlipStream dongle USB-C for wired use or charging Battery lasts well beyond 40 hour work week 5 of the 6 buttons programmable Dual Wireless support (Bluetooth or Corsair Slipstream Wireless) Slipstream worked as well as wired
Cons: Single DPI Button
Overall Review: The Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Champion mouse is a simple looking mouse that fits in well with the gaming rig or in a professional space. Prior to the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Champion mouse, I had been using a Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro Wireless mouse. The Sabre is not only lighter, it has a much longer battery life and Corsair seems to have improved the SlipStream wireless in the Sabre. While using this mouse the first thing I noticed was how light it is. It is hard to believe that it has a battery with an advertised life of 90 hours. I have been using this mouse for work for over 50 hours and iCUE does not yet show low battery. I was expecting to have to plug it in sooner either due to battery life or poor wireless reliability but both features have exceeded my expectations. The Sabre comes with a USB-C cable which I used for a short time after working wireless all week. I noticed no difference in the precision or responsiveness of the mouse when comparing SlipStream wireless and wired. Being a Corsair mouse, the Sabre utilizes iCUE software which I already had installed for my other peripherals. The Sabre seamlessly matched the RGB profile as my other devices. iCUE also has the options to reprogram 5 of the 6 buttons to different functions, left mouse click does not appear to be reconfigurable. The Sabre does only have a single DPI button by default so to change the setting outside of iCUE requires clicking up to 6 times to cycle all the options. The Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Champion has impressed me and will be my new daily driver for work and gaming.
Pros: Overall Comfort - For palm grip use, it is a perfect size mouse. 26,000 DPI - That is an unreal DPI and it shows with the solid performance. RGB Zone - Two zones, instead of the normal one. Hard to see the second zone would be the downside. Connection Options - Three different options, which really helps when you want to use it on two computers. RF has little to no lag, while Bluetooth had minor issues. Button Performance - The Quickstrike buttons work in an instant. Great feel to the buttons, with good feedback. Battery Charge Performance - Was able to get 51 hours with the RBG lights on, but I am sure I would have gotten a lot more with them off. Software - Nice clean layout and easy to use. Very professional. 2,000 Hz sensor polling - Amazing performance. Very hard to get better with a wireless mouse. Cable - 6ft is prefect. Some mouses try to get away with 3ft.
Cons: Gaming Grip - Would rather have more rubber grip areas for gaming, as your fingers can slip while you sweat. Far too slippery plastic sides. iCue software - Windows 10 had an issue discovering it and allowing it to function the first time, but that may have been Windows as it can be picky.
Overall Review: Excellent mouse for light gaming and internet surfing. You will be hard pressed to find a better wireless mouse for the price.
