How is this printer powered? USB, batteries, AC....

The printer is powered by 120v outlet. It does have USB cable to connect to the computer but will not power the unit. It works/prints wireless with my iPhone 5s when download the app on your phone. It is very useful without connecting the computer and convenience. Though it does have a few drawback when print wireless. Sometime it will not connect. Had to use other device and then will connect or delete and reinstall app. Got it at a good price well made offset drawback.

Whats the biggest sticker it can make??

I don't know. I gave up and returned the printer. It REQUIRES brother labels that are specifically made for it and I had no end of trouble trying to find them. You can get a third party conversion and then any labels that you can fit. Sorry if this is not the answer you were looking for.

is this printer adhoc ? Does it need a wireless router to connect to a Mac ?

It does need a wireless router to get on your LAN. I have had mine since January, and after a bit of a pain setting it up, it works great. You may want to send a static IP address to the printer. That seems to work better on our Apple Time Machine network! Hope this helps! Erik
