I am looking for a printer for my small business that can copy, scan and print in color. Any recommendations?

Pros: Easy to set up as both a wired (USB) and wireless printer. Comes with handy software extras. Operation of the printer is quite simple and the output is satisfactory.I bought it especially for 11 x 17 output, which must be fed one sheet at a time. I have not had cause to use this feature yet.

The scanner works well, as does the fax, which goes out on VOIP.

I use a laser printer for most of my printing chores, so I have not used this printer very much at all.

Cons: Paper feed is noisy. Paper storage in the printer is counter-intuitive as the paper is loaded as landscape. I used the printer to print voucher styles checks and learned that the check had to be put in face down with the check header on the left.

Is the duplex printing manual or automatic?

It happens automatically if you select duplexing for that print job, or if you set duplexing as the default for the printer. The print page will come out partially, and then suck it back in and print the other side and then spit it out. It's a fantastic little printer, I've bought many of them for my clients.

Question 3

My Lexmark prints my checks feeding paper from the rear.
Can I print checks with this printer?

theoretically, as long as the paper is within the size limits, it should be able to print. just note - if you use the rear paper port, that only accepts one piece of paper at a time so you'd have to manually feed the paper if using it.

does this print pictures 2.5 x 3.5 on regular paper?

It certainly could. Or you could load it with other types of paper or stock for a better finish. This has been a nice model for light to medium duty in my mother's office and has been reliable without using too much ink.

is it compatible with any MAC OS? is the color quality excellent?what is size and weight? is it easy to use?

I do not recommend this printer. Copies were fine and printing was good for a while   Then it started complaining about paper jams and there weren't any. Then it needed to be aligned after every so called paper jam. Then it refused to print without all new color inks even though black ink was plentiful. I learned that it needs color to work properly and you could not just use black.  I gave up and wrote it off as a loser. I would not buy this brand again.
