What size cartridges does this take and what colors and how many?

It takes 4 separate cartridges, 1 for black and the 3 basic color cartridges, red, yellow and blue. The color ones are about 2.25" high, 2.5" deep, not quite 3/4" across. The black cartridge is wider. The space on the right front corner where you see the blue sticker and Brother label is where the cartridges go. Pretty easy loading and unloading.

Is there a place for a memory card to go?

Don't know. The manual should be able to tell you. Search for the online manual. Good luck!

Yes, ink cartridges are included but they are small ones. I ordered more Hi Yield ink cartridges to have on hand.
