Can this printer copy a document that has already been printed?

No, this printer has no scanning mechanism.  You can use a true scanner or multifunction printer (there is a multifunction version of this printer for roughly $400.00) and scan your work and print it on this printer.

I was new and in the box. It was very easy to install and set up.  Once done I can print wirelessly from laptops and smart phones.  Don't rush through the install, take your time and follow their steps, that is what I did.

Does this machine come with 4 color cartridges?

Are these cartridges at least 50% full?

Yes, it came with four cartridges, and I suspect they were all full, but may be undersized. Like a full pint instead of a half empty quart sort of thing, but they look normal on the outside. Some printer companies do that with the included carts. I printed a picture yesterday that was mostly black and purple, and it reports ~5500 pages remaining; HP's website says the 131A black prints normally 1600 pages, so I'm not totally positive.

Yes, it comes with starter cartridges -- not quite full capacity cartridges, but enough to last our periodic printing needs for a few  months.

Around 8-10 pounds. It's not too bulky to move around, and is a good weight for someone like me (scrawny nerd) to move around rather easily.

It's great, I set it up as Wi-Fi an have no problems.  The color is good.  Newegg had it on sale for a great price.  My wife and don't use it full time as we have a B&W laser printer.  So far I'd give it all stars.

Is it compatible with Windows 8?

Yes, I've used it on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows XP, and Linux.  It attaches wireless to the network similar to how you would attach a tablet or phone.  All you need is drivers to print.  No other software on your computer.

No mention concerning compatibility with an I-MAC or MAC Laptop.  Is it MAC compatible?
