Is the scanner a flatbed, or does it have to go through a paper feed? Thank you.

This is a flatbed scanner and works well. Only complaint I have about this printer, And its an HP issue, Reman cartridges will typically not work because of a date code thing built into the cartridge, But thats the way it goes now-a-days

Is ink included? If not, what ink is needed?

Mine came with LC103 cartridges for all colors and black. This is their regular ink cartridge, not a low-yield "starter" cartridge but not a high-yield cartridge either.

is this Model 2 sided printing ?

Yes, has double-side print capability. Reference pages 12 & 13 of the User Guide for step-by-step.

does it support AirPrint technology?

Not sure about AirPrint but I can print wireless on my iphone and ipad with this printer.

will this printer scan a document to pdf format?

Sorry, I haven't tried that one yet

Is this printer compatible to print per-printed company checks?, and can I print a continuous stream of checks without individually inserting the next check? We just upgraded software to windows 7 and want to know if this printer would be compatible to upgrade to windows 10.

Sorry but I am not able to provide an answer. We do not print checks, however, overall we are completely satisfied with this printer.
