Is this card compatible with my HP Pavilion Slimline with a MS 7525 Boston motherboard?

The soundcard requires a PCI interface.  Most manufactured computer do leave 1 or 2 places open for expansion however the type varies on the motherboard.

The finger pins on the soundcard is roughly 3 and 1/8 inches long. with a slit 1/2 from the right.  Which means when looking at your motherboard directly, on the bottom left where you can see the expansion slots.  Make sure there is a 3 and 1/8 inch slot with a break 1/2 from the right.

The specifications do not indicate it is compatible with Win 7.  Is that because the product is old or is it just not compatible?

Product is for XP and compatible with Vista. I am not sure if it is compatible with Windows 7. The best advice would be to check in their website if the driver has been updated for Windows 7 compatibility. I know for a fact that it would not work on Windows 8. I got it for one of my XP PC's that is not connected to the Internet. I hope this helps answer your question, you should look into getting a refurbished Creative sound blaster for Windows 7 or greater as it is more powerful than the product in question.

What is the Game Port?

Game port can be used in 2 ways.  One is to attach a midi keyboard and play music into a program or accompany a program with music.  Today many music midi keyboards use a USB port.

The 2nd way is to attach external devices such as playstations, xbox etc to a sound card for sounds from the game.  However most devices now use USB ports or firewire for their connection and in that sense the game port is not as viable for the newer devices.

From that viewpoint the game port has become obsolete just like ps2 keyboards and mice and floppy drives.  However it is a good inexpensive sound card and produces good sound.

Will this card work with windows 10 (64-bit)?  I only have a free PCI not PCI-e so it would be great if it did.

Question 5

So I bought this sound card because the mic port crapped out on my motherboard. After installing the sound card and the drivers from the disc everything was working great. However, I plugged in my Turtle Beach EarForce X11 headphones and they worked great, until I used Skype. When I was talking to my brother and then started playing a game he could hear everything from my computer as if he was on my computer. Why is he hearing everything and how do I fix it so people I'm talking to with my mic don't hear my computer sounds. The sounds are not bleeding through my mic. In my sound settings for my computer everything (Microphone, Stereo Mix, Aux, Speakers, CD Player, Line-In) are labeled under (C-Media PCI Audio Device) can I change that/them? If you have the actual drivers needed if that is the issue can I get a link directly to them? Thanks for the help.

Thank you for asking for my help. I could not honestly tell you that I know the answer. I don't use the mic at all at this present time. I use only speakers.

A suggestion would be to mute speakers when you go to use Skype either via task bar bottom right of screen where the time is in that area. Or maybe in settings in Skype. I never used Skype either so not sure what could or can't be done in Skype.

Now you mic port on your Motherboard capped out is that just the one in front (which is not really on the Motherboard) or the one in the back (which is directly on the motherboard). Might be settings not configured correctly.

That's as good as I could say right now. I really do hope one of those fixes your problem.  If not then my apologies.  Good luck and hope you have a great year.

What I can tell you is my card works perfectly. the version # i can verify is 1.0 PCI Express version supported, based on HWiNFO64 data.  My Mobo is Biostar G41D3C with Intel G41 chipset if this helps any as far as referencing goes.  This card i purchased from NE handles my Logitech 5.1 surround system, 5 speakers and a subwoofer.  I have no way at present if it will adapt to your PCI 2.2 but hopefully, something I have shared will help you make a quality decision, sir.
