Question 1

Does anyone have a clue as to whether this sound card will work under Windows 10 and when PowerColor intends to release a Windows 10 driver for it?  I have already emailed PowerColor but have not heard back yet.  Hopefully they are more responsive than Creative!

Hello,

We have uploaded Win 10 beta driver up on our website at powercolor/global/support_driver. When using this driver, it has been tested that when changing sample rate & resolution there will be a noise. Even though it will not cause harm to the card, it is a confirmed bug and we are working to have it solved by the next driver update.

Question 2

No molex cable provided in the box for the board. What cable should be used to connect to a PSU?

The card takes a standard 4-pin flat connector for power.  I just ran an extension off the ones that power my case fans, since they don't use much power in the first place.

I am wondering if this sound card supports Linux? I am running Linux Mint 17.3.

hi it is december now and the last good driver for windows 10 is sept beta. when will you release driver that will enable RCA line out as well ?

actually they updated the driver and everything works fine. You can enable the RCA line out via a toggle on the provided control panel. You can toggle btw headphone or RCA.

Question 5

Will this card Produce actual Dolby Digital 5.1 if connected to a Home Theater Receiver via Optical or coax?  building a HTPC for my Onkyo receiver and Klipsche  speakers.  Thanks

Hey I dont think it has dolby decoding support. It has the daughter extension board that outs 3.5mm jacks. 
What i do is select the nvidia as the audio out that sends multi channel to the receiver which does the decoding. When i want to listen to headphone to select devil as the audio card. Great card for stero, i used it with Sennheiser HD650. Cheers.

Question 6

Can anyone say whether this card will output simultaneous analog and digital (preferably pass-through on the digi)?  With the 'daughter card' biz it looks likely, but I haven't been able to find definite yay or nay anywhere.

And/or if a manual is available for download somewhere -- looked around powercolor's site until I was too frustrated to continue and came up empty

Hello,

Unfortunately the card cannot simultaneously output analog and digital, but it will allow you to connect all devices through a software interface and select outputs from either analog or digital.
