This standalone expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War breaks new ground and lets you break new heads as well. Two new factions – Dark Eldar and Sisters of Battle add to the carnage as battle spills across four entire planets along with three moons for non-stop action in this real-time shooter. Air units add a new dimension of attack as well with every faction but Tau receiving the ability to deliver death from above.
In single-player skirmish mode, you’ll have access to all of the nine factions from Dawn of War: Space Marines, Chaos, Eldar, Orks, Necrons, Tau, Imperial Guard and the new Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar forces. In multiplayer mode you can access the two new factions, but you’ll require a copy of Dawn of War to be able to control the other seven factions.
Each new faction has its own unique weapons and units. Sisters of Battle call upon their unwavering faith in the Emperor to shield them or to smite their foes from above. The piratical Dark Eldar, more evil than their kin, harvest the souls of their fallen enemies as a resource. Longtime online players will be rewarded with the addition of achievements which recognize successful armies and their commanders.
