Does the product need to be activated immediately? Can I delay installing it until my present subscription expires?

I think the subscription starts when you activate.  I didn't have an active subscription when I started.. but mine expires a year from the date I activated.

How does the free upgrade work?

I don't see anything about a free upgrade. Perhaps I missed something or it was a time sensitive offer. Basically you activate your license and you have 1 year to use it on as many devices as you like. I'm currently using it on 5 devices, including a Mac and it works wonderfully. They've come a long way since Intel bought them that's for sure.

Hello, I'm interested in using McAfee for my business environment, approximately 30pc and 5svr.  I noticed you have certain license counts and then an unlimited device version.  What exactly is does the unlimited cover?  Is this home version only?

As an IT Architect and former engineer, I'll tell you that although this product has a web management console, it's not designed for business work and it won't install on Server 2012. It's for endpoints only and if you use it on domain joined assets, it may flag the account. It's not worth the potential outcome. If you're very cash strapped for something like AV, there are a number of affordable options out there.

According to McAfee's website it will not.  It is only compatible with the following operating systems.

Microsoft Windows 10, 8.1, 8, and 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
