Does this Full Version come with a CD Disc...or is it a Download?

From what I can see - you are requesting info on the Mac version which is different from the PC(Windows) version.  When we bought ours, we bought the actual CD - but if was the Windows version.

That said I believe you can get the CD version or the download version, but since it's for MAC(apple version) ... I can't say for sure.

Is this a stand alone version? Do I need another Adobe Photoshop  program to run Lightroom 5 on Windows 7 professional?

Lightroom is an independent application and no other program is required for its functionality other than the OS that it is loaded under. In my opinion this is one of the best applications for a photographer that is on the market today.

I bought the full version of Lightroom yesterday (boxed version) and am getting an iMac for Christmas. I understand the iMac does not have a DVD drive. Will I be able to download the software from Adobe's website, since I don't have the DVD drive? I hope I didn't buy the wrong version!

Yes.  If you purchased the current version 5, all you will need to to is visit the Adobe website and download the trial version for Mac.  Once that is installed on your computer it is a simple matter to license the software.  Go to Help, then Product Registration and License.  Enter the key and you are good!

This is standard procedure for all Adobe software which is available in trialware and can also still be bought in a boxed, CD package.

How well does this program work with RAW images (.NEF files)? Also, does this program work well when the files are located on a network drive (server or NAS) and not a local drive?

Eric, Adobe Lightroom is designed to work with RAW images.  I don't have a NAS or a server for photo storage purpose, but I can imagine the performance depends on the speed of the network, NAS device, or the Server's speed.  But if you want to know how the program handles a large number of files, I can tell you that it's doing very well.  You can even have the library all saved for offline editing.  It's called "Smart Previews".  It'll save a lot of network traffic which translate better performance for NAS and remote server.  Just google "Lightroom 5 Smart Previews" and you can find a helpful video on this feature.

Can I load this one more than one computer with this license?

My understanding looking at the adobe license is that you can have it on two machines - normally a desktop and a laptop but you can't use both at the same time to be in conformity with the license.  I take that to mean that they can't be running at the same time.  The bigger issue is the fact that you really can't share a catalogue so having LR5 on two machines can become an issue.  Many people will travel with the laptop and use it while on the road and then transfer the images to the primary desktop.  There are various tutorials on the web about how to do the transfer.  Currently I have LR4 loaded on a laptop and a desktop and LR5 loaded on that same desktop.  Both my LR4 and LR5 are full versions (LR5 is not an upgrade).

I've got the Mac version loaded on my Mac Mini. I believe that the license is for one machine only. Check the Adobe website to confirm that.

what can I create with my photos?

This is an excellent editing program,  I edited scanned 60 year old Kodachrome  slides to equal  photos today. This program organize your files and edits print commands.  Adobe contacts were excellent for a problem updating 5.2 to 5.3 with no fees.  Creates presentations for videos and photos. Highly rcomended.

Am I limited to installing on a certain number of computers???

The Adobe license allows for you to install Lightroom on 2 computers, such as a desktop and laptop. The only restriction is that you can NOT be running both machines at the same time and using Lightroom simultaneously on them both. The idea is to allow you the flexibility to have a copy on a laptop for field use, and a copy on your desktop for when you get home. This same license model goes for the older boxed versions of Photoshop, the ones before the Creative Cloud model came along and totally ruined this.

If I buy this version and then download a trial straight from adobe can I just use the serial code to turn my trial version into the full paid version?

I didn't do it for this particular program, but it seems like all software that I have seen that offers a trial version has an option of just entering a serial number when you start up the program. Don't know if that was as definite an answer you were looking for.
