Are you required to set up an account with H&R Block when downloading with a keycard?

Info Indirectly probably thru purchase site. This year getting access to software after having code in hand was different. Go to site, would only accept   1st 5 #& letters, then not accept dash, not the last 5characters. Learned from another site you input 3YZHBspace (dash appears on its own)6DyyB & good to go.

need to file Fed, NY and SC state returns. I do not need guidance.  Does this software do this?

When I did my 2023 return you can do your federal and one state if you buy the version with the state return included, but it asks if you want to file multiple state returns. You just have to pay extra for each state return you add.

Can i download on my PC?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once you receive the keycard that is shipped to you.  Though it would be easier to buy the "download" version of the software, and bypass the need for the card to be shipped.

Does HR Block state e-file fee apply to New York State?
