Question 1

Do i need to purchase 2 of this item for it to work ? Will this product work with non netgear wireless router ? Thanks for any input.

Yes, you need two. One at each end.  One will connect to your wireless router (any brand) via a network cable and send the network connection across you electrical wires.  The second unit connects to your other power outlet and then to your device via network cable, adding it to the network.  Some are sold as two piece kits, but some as a single.

Question 2

I am thinking about buying this power line internet adapter but having two questions.  First, I am not sure if you will need to buy two or you can just buy one in order to make it work.  Last question is that will I to make sure if I will need to plug the adapters within the same circuit line?

You do need at LEAST two of them (since they connect whatever devices you plug into them through the wiring in your house). I'm not completely sure about the circuit, they're supposed to be able to serve either an apartment or so much square footage for a house. I know the two places I've used them they've worked fine.

Question 3

I currently have the Netgear Powerline AV + 200 Ultra Adapter Kit XAVB2501, I bought a few years ago (it has the home unit and one adapter) I want to buy this adapter to use with the same system (to extend my wireless into a bedroom that currently has trouble accessing the wifi because it is at the back of the house.) I just want to make sure this adapter would definitely work with my exiting system? I think so, but just want to be sure!

This should work for you. We did the same thing: installed the initial kit (1 unit connected to our wifi, and the other at a computer 2 floors below) then added one more adapter for a second computer that was not getting a good wifi connection.

Question 4

I have a netgear Powerline AV 200 Adapter (XAV2001) and a Powerline AV 200 (XAVN2001)Wireless-N Extender which work together. I want to add this extender, NETGEAR XAV2001-100NAR. Will it work with the adapter I have?

Yes, it should work fine.  I have multiple XAV2001 adapters connecting devices in two rooms with my router.  These all use Homeplug AV1 standard so they will work together - just plug it in and give it a moment to connect.
