Product description mentions that is Open Source. Do I need to install some open source software on this device before I can start using it?
I am a normal user and dont want to get into technical war with my router...

Simple Answer- No, there is already firmware loaded on the router when you turn it on.  Simply follow the few step how to set up guide to get your router up and running.  You may have to do one firmware update, but the router makes it simple.

Is its power adapter universal (110-240V /50-60Hz)?

Not sure for the R6200 because its physically not at this location.  However, I have a Netgear WNDR4500 here, and its power supply is 100-240vac 50/60 hz. So my guess would be the R6200 also is.

Can a 802.11ac device be used simultaneously with a device that only has 802.11n device?

Was this V1 version of the router USB 2.0 or 3.0? The website is confusing because it says 2.0 one place, and 3.0 another.

What is the difference between this model R6200-100PAS vs R6200-100NAS?

I am not 100% sure but suspect the NAS version means 'network applied storage', meaning that you connect a Hard Drive.  I got this version and have been able to connect a drive to the USB port, which is then available on my wireless network.
