Does this router work with major ISPs like AT&T? I had spoken to a representative at my ISP who claimed it wasn't compatible with their internet.

Yes it will work. This is separate from your modem, which the ISP will provide you. They are probably trying to get you to use their Modem/Router (Im an old AT&T customer) You can disable the router portion from AT&T and use the Linksys.

Question 2

Has anyone that owns this router used a "USB 2.0 & ESATA Female Splitter adapter". That would allow you to utilize the usb2/sata combo port. Also anyone having issues with it restarting all the time?

Ian J: I have owned this since its first week out. I have not used the splitter/adapter, so I cant answer that question. As for the restarting issue, mine has never restarted on me. I would contact Linksys or NewEgg to see about getting it warrantied. The router has been fantastic for my every day use. Streaming, Gaming, Mobile...all work well and under load.

Can you turn the  "Wi-Fi" part  "On & Off" when needed and only use the wire part all the time on this router? Some other Wi-Fi brand routers use a button to do this.

So this has 4 ways to access the wireless in effect - 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz in both native (normally always in use for regular occupants) and guest modes.  You can use a Web Browser to access an intuitive menu to turn off any or all of the WIFI access modes that you like.  There is not a button to turn off WIFI if that is what you are really looking for.

Has anyone tried this router with VOIP?  I'm looking for a top-of-the-line router than will have no VOIP issues.

Has anybody had success or failure using an eSata connection? I got an eSata cable. FIts great on my external drive but does not fit on the router. Not sure if I got the wrong cable or not pushing in hard enough. I got the - StarTech SATA2ESATA6 6 ft. Shielded eSATA to SATA Cable M/M.

I'm almost certain this is not the right cable for what you're trying to accomplish.  If your external drive supports USB3.0 then that would probably be the fastest performance.  Connect to the WRT1900ACS USB3.0 (blue port).  If your external drive doesn't support USB3.0, then use eSATA cable to connect drive. The WRT1900ACS doesn't have a SATA port, it has eSATA port, that's why it doesn't fit.  You need a regular eSATA cable, try this - StarTech ESATA6 6 ft. Shielded External eSATA Cable M/M.

Has anyone tried using this with CenturyLink service?

There are 2 ways to do this with CenturyLink.

The 1st is to disable WiFi in the CenturyLink DSL Router, and then  just connect the WAN port of the WRT1900ACS to one of the ethernet ports on the CenturyLink router.

The 2nd way, is to disable WiFi in the CenturyLink router, and then put it in Transparent Bridge mode. This turns your CenturyLink router into a modem only. Connect the WAN port of the WRT1900ACS to one of the LAN ports on the CenturyLink Router.  Once you power up the WRT1900ACS,  you would set up the PPPoE setting in the WRT1900ACS in the  Connectivity screen to connect to CenturyLink.  The WRT1900ACS will do all of the routing, and will help with any double NAT issues.

The 2nd way is how i had things setup and it worked flawlessly.

Linksys Tech Support claimed: The underside product label would have a "V2" or "Ver2" beside the model number. I no version is beside the model number than its a V1.
