Question 1

Does this have a feature on it that will allow me to turn the radio signal on and off at certain hours, say, from 10pm to 10am?  I need to be able to set a daily schedule that the internet is available.

Accepted Answer

Yes.  Under "Advance Settings" there is an option to enable a Wireless "Schedule".  It's pretty flexible because you can set up various rules for various SSID's if you made more then one.  Additionally, since you can set the schedules by Day(s), or all Week, with start and end times you can have different Wireless access schedules all week if needed (ie., off from midnight till 6am Mon-Friday, with no access on weekends).

Question 2

Do I need to buy any adapters for the computers?

The computer will need some network adapter - either wired or wifi, but often one you already have.

It depends on how you configure it and what you want to do.
It has one wired Ethernet port and Wifi antennas.
As an access point (what I do with it), Ethernet goes to a wired router.
Then any computer with wifi can access through your router.  These days most laptops have wifi, but only some desktops.

It is also posible to configure as wifi for a computer with only wired Ethernet - then Ethernet cable from computer to Dlink, then to some (fixed) wifi.

More specialized, but you can also use two units to make a wireless connection between two wired Ethernets.

It has some other abilities, but those are much like what cheaper wireless routers can do.

Does this have the Ability to be Wall Mounted?

Yes - mine is wall mounted.  There are slots on the back to fit over 2 screws.

Does this unit come with power injector?

Accepted Answer

No, you have to buy a power injector separately or have it connected to a POE switch.  In my application I have a router upstream from this access point and have four of these units connected to a POE switch to provide coverage over roughly 10,000 square feet.  These are reliable access points, all four of mine have been up and running without a reset for more than 100 days now!

Is  this hardware version A1 or B1?

No idea now. Mine was an a1. Don't touch this with a 10ft pole. Software is crap (actively blocks dhcp even when not doing it internally, also stops passing all packets every few days and needs to be reset.) No regular SW updates from dlink. Go buy the Zyxel AP that looks like a smoke detector or the ubiquity ones.

Question 6

Instead of having the router powered through the PoE port, can that port power an IP camera in order to make it wireless?

Just to make it clear this is not a router. This is a access point. The PoE capability is to power the AP. You can use the AP in a point to point mode, but you will have to power the camera and the AP. In that mode you will be able to use the camera on your network.

Silly question, but does this router off the ability to set it to "low power mode"?

The router can set the power level to 100, 50, 25 or 12.5% transmit power.  Go to Advanced Settings -> Performance and you will see the "Transmit Power" setting.
