I'm not sure if this or the dir-890 will be better for me. I have an xbox one, 2 laptops, 2 smartphones, 1 tablet, and several smarthome devices. Only the smartphones and tablet have ac wireless now, but I'm looking to be somewhat future proof as I add more smarthome devices and upgrade others to ac wireless. Which one is best?

I bought the D-Link DIR-885L AC3150 Ultra Wi-Fi Router to handle all the new devices appearing in our house, we have 2 smart TV's, 4 wireless tablets, 2 wired PC's, 1 wireless laptop, 3 samsung smartphones and a PS4. My 3 kids are all of "Gaming Age." I moved the router location from the basement to the main floor so I can extend the range outside and up to second floor. I also have a large external drive attached to the router. The house is wired with all CAT 6 cable, including cat 6 wall jack. I will soon be upgrading the comcast modem. That said, an internet speed test resulted in 176 MB up speed, 12 MB down speed on my PC, and 100 MB up and 13 down on my smartphone. The interface is easy to access and use on any device. Overall, so far I'm very happy with this device. I was really interested in future proofing the house. I think this does it.
