Question 1

The internal WIFI card of my Macbook broke, but my ethernet port is working solid.

Can I plug this into my Macbook and have it connect to my current WIFI network?

I'm not a MAC guy, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work as a WiFi adapter.  On the otherhand, straight USB WiFi adapters are far less expensive, mush smaller and much easier to setup, and I would strongly suggest that route.  The GWU627 is intended to wirelessly connect devices which can't accommodate such adapters.  I use it with my Blueray player to supply its media streaming device with a network signal.  When my old laptop network port failed to work, I bought an ASUS USB-AC51 Dual-Band Wireless-AC600 Wi-Fi Adapter which is plug-n-play and dumb-simple to setup - and less expensive.

Question 2

Can this be used with hotspots such as optimum wifi, time warner cable wifi , xfinity wifi , etc .?

That I don't know, have not tried to connect, but I would think if you wanted to connect, you could try doing the manual set-up, there's a clip on youtube on how to do the set up, you may want to try that first to see if it might work.. Cheers!!!!!

Will it stream netflix video through this adapter from TV to wireless router flawlessly?

First let's be clear on what you want and what the equipment will do.

There are any number of ways to watch Netflix, and other services like Hulu, on your television.  To this end, there are set-top boxes like AppleTV and Roku that will stream this content wirelessly from your router or cable modem (assuming it has WiFi).

The other option is that many devices have this capability built in; they include a number of TVs, X-Box, PlayStation, and many Blu-Ray Players.  They use apps to access and play any number of Internet Services in which you may be interested, including Netflix.

If you own a device that will play these services, but need a way to connect it wirelessly to your router, then this is the ticket.  Keep in mind this is just a replacement for the network cable that would normally run from your device (player, TV, or other) to your router.

This unit has no other features and can not run any applications.  So if you could do what you wanted by running a wired connection, but prefer wireless, this is what you want.  But if your devices will not play Netflix on their own, you will need to buy some piece of hardware (as mentioned above) that will do the job for you.  Most of the new stuff is wireless, but the older equipment required a cable, something this device would replace.

Will I be able to run 2 of these on the same network? One for a printer and another for non-WiFi device.

I have one of this model and another model both running on my WiFi. Since each one gets synchronized separately using the WiFi auto link button, both adapters and my new wireless printer are all auto synched and working fine. I suspect that since the auto link works by the WiFi sending out a signal for the device to find, it will automatically choose a non-interfering code. 
I see no reason that 2 of the same model should have any trouble. One of my adapters, made by TP-link is being used to answer this question.

will this device pick up my wifi signal from a wireless hotspot and can I connect a IP phone to it?

This connects to a wifi signal and the output is a cat5 ethernet cable. I use this wifi adapter when a device requires an ethernet connection and ethernet adapters don't work.

In regards to whether you can a connect an IP phone to it, I would expect IP phones to be able to connect to wifi but I checked out IP phones on google and the SPA 303

"can be connected to the network via Ethernet or wirelessly."

If your IP phone requires an ethernet connection you can use this or ethernet adapters. Ethernet adapters are probably cheaper if you have a number of phones. They also don't require configuration.

Question 6

My tv isn't wifi. I'm looking for a way to use my wifi Direct TV receiver, sound system & DVD unit without all the wires required to connect them to a non wifi TV. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to adapt a non wifi TV to a wifi capable TV?

This item will allow you to run an Ethernet only device on a wifi network. I'm pretty sure if you bought an Ethernet switch (something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=33-704-173) and plugged this in, you could run all those devices in your entertainment center off of this one adapter and not have to string wires across your home. It's a little tricky to set up at first but u get the hang of it quickly and only need a PC or notebook. Anytime you change wifi networks you will need to adjust it on the computer. Since you are using it for a tv it won't be an issue.

Can I successfully tie in my WiFi printer, laptop, and Kindle?

Yes if you already have a wireless router.  This 2-way radio device is not a router but an adapter that allows a wired device (laptop, blu-ray player, game console) to connect over the air to the internet or your home network via a wireless router.

Will this work in an rv.I have been living in an RV for about a year and I am tired of the campgrounds all around bad wifi?

I don't see why not.  However, if you have bad wifi this won't improve it.  It's just designed to connect devices that are not wifi enabled to a wifi network.  I use mine to connect an old computer that is not wifi enabled, but does have ethernet, to our home wifi network.  For that purpose, it works great.

Nope, you can connect it to your computer via usb and ethernet and configure it through your web browser, then unplug it and place it wherever you want.

Sorry can't speak to that .  I used this on an Android based device.  Which of course is derivative of Linux.  I can verify it worked there (Sony 1st Gen Google TV).
