I am about 200 ft away from the router in another house trying to get a better wifi signal.Will this work? Randall

This is a nice device, especially for the price. I have run several of these in two different facilities where a PoE solution was ideal since cat5 was present but power was not always present in the places where I needed the APs. They are very stable, and with a good router / switch, I have had them run continuously for over a year without paying any attention to them or rebooting them and without any performance degradation over time. Getting WiFi signal to broadcast through walls and other obstacles is a very complex issue. I do not believe that 200 ft line-of-sight is too great a distance for this AP. However, every situation is different. Trying to pass WiFi signal through two exterior walls (particularly masonry walls) is not likely possible with this equipment. That is why I have installed multiple units in the buildings I use these in. That way, the signal travels through walls on cat5 (mostly) and in open spaces (and often one interior wall) via WiFi. Your best bet is to run cat5 between the two buildings and place one or more of these units inside each building.
