Question 1

I have an older wireless Belkin, barely reaches into the next room. I want a router that reaches about 150 ft out to my garage? Will this Rosewill do it?

Accepted Answer

This router will definitely send signal to the next room or even the next. When you talk 150 ft, most off-the-shelf routers will not suffice. You will need to put an extended range antenna (never tried them myself), or create a bridge somewhere in the middle.

Question 2

Can the DHCP and other router functions be disabled so this just works as a switch and Wireless Access Point?  (Nothing plugged into to the WAN port but my DSL modem plugged into one of the normal ports.  I want to use the router in my DSL modem.)

I used this router as just a standby unit and never tried to configure
it like a switch.  Many posts on the Internet suggested that you can
but there is no guarantee if this specific router would work the way
you wanted it.  It's cheap price is worth a try and it's as solid as any
other name brand routers in the market

what is the input source. Can it be used in 230/220 Volt locations? Thanks

Yes, the included power adapter is a universal adapter.  Specifically (looking at it now!):  Vasata, Model: P090060-201, Input: 100 - 240V, 50/60Hz, 0.3A, Output:9VDC, 0.6A, ITE Power Supply.  FCC, UL rated, not CE marked.  Adapter only has US style parallel input blades.

I have 3 of these, DD-WRT, standard router configuration.  Flawless.  Just checked uptime: 6 months, ...

Can this router be used as a repeater?

Yes, it can be be used as a repeater with a third party firmware, e.g., Gargoyle. This router is a re-branded TP-Link wr841nd-v7; I'm using two of them as a repeater, connected to my main router, TP-Link wr1043nd. It works great in my huge two-story house. It is very reliable, cheap and supports DD-WRT. You can't go wrong by picking this router as a repeater if you use a third party firmware. The factory firmware does not have the repeater option. Having problems connecting to Xfinity wifi thinking of using a bridge.
It's a gateway modem that I can call them to Bridge it then can I use this router to connect?

I'm doing the very same thing with this modem at home. I flashed with DD-WRT before following directions online. Works perfect as a bridge.

I am not sure if I understood your question. But if you are asking if this has a Small Form Factor Optical Cable port, this one doesn't.

Is it possible to change the MAC address of the WiFi with this router? Would like to set up a 3DS streetpass relay.

Yes this does in fact work as a 3DS street pass relay. Under the "MAC Address Clone" tab you can change not only the MAC of the WAN port but also of the WLAN. Just give the SSID the name of attwifi and you're good.
