The Broadcom NetXtreme 10GBaseT Network Adapter Family for IBM® System x® features a robust, standards-based portfolio that delivers economical Ethernet features in an industry-standard PCIe Gen 2 form factor, and IBM exclusive ML2 form factor.
IBM ML2 Network Adapters are placed into a ML2 slot on equipped IBM System x servers, preserving a PCIe slot. IBM ML2 Adapters also enable the IBM System x server's management traffic to be combined with the application traffic. By merging this traffic onto a single port, your cabling and switching costs are greatly reduced.
