Yes. I initially installed the card for Windows 7 and it worked and once I upgraded to Windows 10 I had no problems with it.

Does anybody know: would I need to use the CD to install drivers for this or would my Windows Update find updated driver for it automatically? Thank you people

I installed this adapter in Decemeber and upon restarting my computer, Windows update was unable to install the drivers. I even tried to find updated drivers online, to no avail. So I highly recommend installing the drivers that come on the CD.

You hook it up onto your motherboard on a desktop computer, so if you were looking for a wireless adapter with a USB, then this isn't for you.

Can anyone tell me how to change brackets on this product?

On the underside of the board, there are two small screws. With both antennas off, carefully remove both screws, then the plate will slide off. Put the new plate on, and replace the screws so that they're snug, but not too tight. Leave the antennas off until the board is installed in your rig.

Will this work with a desk top running on Windows XP Media Center to connect to a Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot?

     I do not own a 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot but from all the information I've read it should work just fine. I put this adapter in my sons PC and didn't have any problems with it at all. Of course that was after I had to redo everything because I didn't follow the correct order of installing the drivers and the card. Just make sure you follow the steps in the correct order as the instructions indicate and I don't think you will have any problems at all.

I am using this on a Win 7 64bit platform and it runs great. For Windows 8... Netis own website says this it is compatible with Windows XP (32/64bits), Window Vista (32/64bits), Windows 7 (32/64bits), *Windows 8 (32/64bits)*; Linus.

I recently upgraded Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Update 1, and ever since then this card (which was previously performing wonderfully) is giving me slower speeds than my internet plan. It was down as low as 3 mbps, but after trying some new drivers I was able to get it up to 8mbps, still well short of the 20 that I pay for.

I've heard that there have been wireless issues in 8.1 Update 1, and I saw in a review that someone encountered something similar and fixed it. Can anyone give me some tips on how to configure this device and/or my router to make it work better on the 8.1 Update?

The only way you're going to get less than 3mbps is if the mode settings on the card are messed up. Quite frankly if you're not comfortable with hardware settings in device manager then I would say find a card you know if compatible. If you want to give it a try then you need to get into device manager, go to the driver properties, and from there you'll go to the advanced tab, in the field find wireless mode and change it from there. Try the different modes until it works. You do not want mode b only or you'll get 11mbps at most.

Quite frankly you shouldn't have to do this. One option is to go to the details tab and view the hardware id. See if you can find a windows 8.1 compatible driver for that hardware id. That might solve your problem as well.

Again, I have given very little on how to do this, but I don't advise going this route if you're more on the experienced side.

How do I install drivers to increase my internet connectivity in Ubuntu 14.04?

Is your connection slow? Ubuntu usually chooses a generic driver to work with when installing adapters, configured for normal to best connectivity. This adapter does have Linux drivers for it, which you can do a quick Google search for, HOWEVER, you must first compile the source code in Terminal and then install the drivers. There's a readme installation guide file in the .zip driver folder, but compiling is a bit tricky. If this all sounds like too much, then just stick with what you've got; I would recommend getting closer to your router, upgrading your router if it might be bottle-necking your connection, or use an old router as an Wifi extender.
