I have Time Warner for my internet and I have the modem router they provide is this compatable?

A modem is simply a device that chops up data into ISP-specific packets and assembles packets from the ISP (think of a radio receiver or teleporter from Star Trek).

Once the data is reconstructed, it is fed into this wireless router and the router connects multiple devices to this data stream. That being said, the two devices need to be able to talk to each other. The standard interface is an Ethernet port (an RJ-45 jack). Most modems have an Ethernet port output and this router definitely had an Ethernet input from the modem (I know because I own this router). Just check to make 100% sure that your modem outputs the data stream over an Ethernet port and you'll be all set.

Go to the TP-Link web site and download the user manual.  There is an entire section on configuring IPv6.  I've been running several of these using dd-wrt software, and while I haven't tried it, it looks like IPv6 in that environment could be a real challenge.  You should OK with the supplied software.

I can only offer that the documentation included goes over the installation on MAC OS but since I run Windows I cannot assert that it will work with MAC OS.

Have a Verizon wireless router (with RJ45 ports). Need to extend signal into a second building - either wired or wireless - 250 feet. Will this work in the second building as a wireless bridge?

I had trouble with it. It would lock up consistently. I put DD-WRT firmware on it and it worked great after that. The DD-WRT has a choice for wireless bridge but I didn't try it. I use a second router as a repeater along with my ATT wireless modem/router so the TP-Link is in the box just in case I need a spare.
