Can you turn the wireless off from an external switch?

Not that I know of...I think you just have to unplug it.

Does the software on this router support wireless client mode?  I have a 802.3 only device I would like to use this in client mode to support wireless.

This router supports WDS (bridging) as a WDS client. Not sure if that's what you're looking for or not.

I install 3-5 of these per week (IPoS technician).

I've installed a few of these in WDS bridge mode, to extend a network for a device, and had no issues whatsoever.

See if WDS applies to your situation, and if so, this is a great router at a great price.

This says it does WDS Bridge, however, is it as a primary? Because I need as the repeater or access point.

it can act as a secondary. as a matter of fact i have 2 of these one as the primary and the other as a repeater.  its been working well since august of last year

Docsis 3 is for Cable Modems. This is a router......That being said, it should work fine for u.

The answer is yes. You can view the router options with TP-Links online simulator:

Does the TP-Link TL-WR720N offer Bandwidth Usage Monitoring as well as control so I can see how much data is being used or just the control?  And if it does monitor, does it monitor for all devices or does it monitor by the WAN Port or both?

it monitors by ip/mac address for all connected devices (wired and wireless).   u can cap usage via "ipQos" or just view statistics under "system tools"
