Does this have a female or male end on it? Would it work if I got an adapter to switch M to F, or does the signal only go in one direction?

Enter an answer to this question.The antenna has a female end on it which is most common for modern routers/APs. The antenna is a passive device and should work fine if an adapter was used, but I would question why you would need one. Also, this will only increase the signal strength or range of your current device, it is the base device that determines whether it can transmit or receive.

Are the RP-SMA Male connector's the same as the N-Male connectors?

I would think, I purchased this antenna as a replacemnet on a Dlink PCI card, my 2 year was poking around my PC and broke it off.   I purchased a rossel also, cheaper, just in case, but did not try it.. I recent did a notebook wireless card a a PCI EXPRESS for an asus.Maxx gene and the antenna worked also.   I think the male connectors are standard... for wireless antennas...of this type.

i have a wifi adapter for my computer and i want to know if this will  work with it. it is a gigabyte b/g/n + bluetooth 802.11 will this work to replace my old wired ones?

I'm sorry but I don't quite understand your question so I can't really say if it will work with your setup or not.

If you're asking if you can replace an existing, removable antenna on a WiFi card, than this should work assuming you have the space to accommodate the antenna.

My existing d-link router antenna has the female connector, the router itself has the pin that makes contact when the antenna is screwed in. Does your TP-LINK TL-ANT2408CL 2.4GHz 8dBi Indoor Omni-directional Antenna have the same type of connection ?

I need to figure out what type of connector you have, this is a SMA. But really this antenna is very specific you should look into getting one of the lower power ones. The radiation profile on this antenna looks like a rock dropped in a puddle and wouldn't be suitable for multiple floors. Your question lacks any detail, so I would recommend reading the documentation on Wi-Fi and this antenna to understand more what you have and what you need, otherwise your more than likely to buy the wrong thing, and be unsatisfied with whatever you get, when really the product is working as intended. Would this work with the BUFFALO AirStation HighPower N300 Wireless Router - WHR-HP-G300N?  The photo in the PDF on the TP-LINK page shows a router with only one antenna.  Would purchasing two of these for the BUFFALO be acceptable?

It appears that router accepts antennae with this connector type, so yes, it should work.  For optimal performance, you want to populate all of the available antennae connectors, so yes, you want two.

Will these work on the Archer C7 to add range in the 5Ghz band?

No antenna will increase or decrease range, as that is apart of the gain of the device. Antennas will concentrate or broaden the signal, or increase reception signal, but the energy radiated is identical. These antennas radiated in a snowflake like pattern away from the device, with the largest concentration at the horizon. A lower dBi antenna broadens that signal wave for a more spherical pattern. This is why the antenna is rated in dBi, not dB. dBi being isotropic, dB being energy. This is liken to a light bulb, that radiates a specific wattage, but in a specific degree and angle is candela.

Side note: Its not always the access point or router that has a bad signal, but the receiving device. In the US, the FCC sets max output at 1W or 1 watt, this is changeable, albeit illegal, and you'll be fined if caught. This yields a 300ft signal in most cases, in open air, no obstruction, perfect isotropic antenna, perfect signal generation. The key is to select the antenna that fits your usage pattern, single floor, multi floor, far away, etc. Then the best antenna and gain receiver for the devices used. A parabolic transceiver and receiver can reach multiple miles at 1 watt, but the signal is one square meter....
