How hot/loud does it get during general use, and during heavy use?

It is very quiet, and very cool. I have mine sitting on my lap as I am writing it and i dont notice any head difference to the room around me.  
It depends what heavy use is. If you are talking gaming you may want to look else at another laptop my old amd a8 was much better for gaming than this laptop. but for productivity and work i like this one much better.

Does it have Bluetooth?
Anything with Microsoft Office?
How about a mouse?

Wifi - Yes 
Bluetooth? - No
Office not included but it will run it. 
Mouse - it has a touch pad or you can use one of the 3 USB ports to use a mouse
Yes it has a power cord. 
My battery is great - 5-6 hours of use on battery
All batteries will need to be replaced eventually but you probably have a 2-3 years before that is an issue. 
On mine the ram expansion port didnt work but i discovered it after my warranty period was over so i was stuck with just the stock 4gb.

I find the keyboard to be nice. but the touch pad can get annoying.

all in all its great for the price but its not perfect.

I recently bought this wonderful device and was wondering What exactly what RAM was bought when upgrading this notebook? I want to be sure I get the most for my new notebook and sites have been giving me varied results, from 12gb max ram to 8gb max. Thanks for the help.

I would like to update the RAM of this model to 8gb. What do I need to know in order to choose the correct hardware?

Unless you have a reason like running VM's I'd save your money, depending on startup programs windows use 800mb-1.3Gb ram, turn on an intensive game and still only about 2Gb. so unless you use all 4Gb and your HDD is thrashing or you saturated the bandwidth(CPU's too slow for that) you wont see any performance increase.

No, this is a dual core processor. It is an Intel I5 chip which is 1.6 GHz, but can be run in a turbo mode up to 2.6 GHz. The pentium chips were expired in 2008 and this chip was invented around 2010

I'm not sure about Diablo 3, but I do know it can play World of Warcraft on low-medium settings.

Mine does not, nothing listed in device manager, I checked windows update no driver was installed, and the bluetooth stack service which is a triggered start is not running. I restore a dozen laptops a week for a pawn shop, if it did all these things would have happened without me doing anything.

Will this laptop play Netflix(etc.) at 1080p resolution if i hook it up via HDMI to my HD television...?

The TV would have to be 1080p, but yes the graphics are more than enough for smooth 1080p
