I have this laptop.  About 3 months now.  Yes it does, but you can hardly hear it at all.  Now when you fire this bad boy up for a gaming session, of course it gets a bit louder, but still pretty quiet considering.  If you use a gaming headset you don't hear it at all.  I upgraded the RAM to 64 GB and it processes through everything I throw at it like a hot knife through butter.  The RGB keyboard is a little tricky to get set up right but it works great once you do get it sorted.  Hope this helps.
