Question 1

I already asked Brandi if the computer comes with Windows 7. She said that it comes with Windows 7 installed, and a disc for Windows 8. She is not sure if there is a disc for Windows 7. Is there anyone with access to the answer to that question?
Are there discs for both Windows 7 and Windows 8?

Also-does the laptop have a touch screen?

I bought this because it still had Windows 7 and there were many bugs at the time with Windows 8. It did come with a Windows 8 disc, but I can't remember if there was a Windows 7 disc or not.

My desktop with Windows 7 does NOT have touchscreen capability.  It is possible however that it really is touchscreen, but that Windows 8 is needed to be installed for this option to work.

Keep in mind that I bought this almost 6 months ago and things probably changed.  I believe the new service pack for Windows 8 has come out now, so maybe you are just better off going that route now.  Hope this helps.

It comes with Windows 7 Professional installed and a Windows 8 Professional disc if you want to upgrade it. Also, it has a DVD+/-RW drive which can read and write CD's and DVD's. Hope that helps.

Would this work good on minecraft?

I would imagine so. I have used it to play Civilization 5 on stock settings. Based on that, Minecraft should run very well. Though of course I'm only speculating. I would suggest looking up the hardware requirements for Civ 5 and compare them to Minecraft and see for yourself. I can say that so far every customer I have sold this to has been very pleased with it. Happy shopping!

What kind of BIOS system does this computer have? I cannot use a Compal BIOS system with my company software.

it has been a while, but to my recollection it was an amibios. I am fairly certain that compal does not have any models based on amd platforms. as it is a uefi rather than a bios, I think you are pretty safe.

Ok, so I'm looking for a decent system for LAN parties for games such as payday 2, would this system run it very well? I think so but want to make sure, and also skyrim (I'm somewhat doubtful)?

I cant say I would recommend it for gaming use. it would be better to select a laptop with a discrete graphics adapter if you want to do much gaming with it.
