In regards to Kindle, yes, sort of: just google "kindle cloud reader" and look at the first link, it should be from google play store (or chrome web store).

But Skype, no:

Google has their own chatting app called Hangouts that seems to interface mostly with other users of gmail and hangouts.  My ecosystem tends to revolve around Google, however (gmail, google voice, google fiber, chromecast, android, etc), so most of what I'm doing integrate well with the Chromebook.

does this laptop have the same uses/almost alike features to windows? and could i use it without the mobile data thing?

Yes, can use this without the mobile data. The mobile data is free. HP and T-Mobile recently changed it from 200MB(Which is not alot now a days) a month for 2 years Free, to 200MB a month for life Free(or at least until they change their mind). It does NOT run ".exe" programs; but there is pretty much an "app" replacement for everything the average user wants. 
My uses: Chromecast-ing,Video Chat, Netflix, email, remotedesktop-ing , YouTube, ect. 
Only Cons: no DVD, BlueRay support yet.
It is basically a 14in, extremly highend smartphone.

Does a Verizon sim card work for this machine...and or what carrier does the free 200mb come from?

Yes, 3 usb ports. Two are usb 3.0 and 1 is usb 2.0

Does this come with 4GB of ram? the title said is does not. just a little confused.

The Chromebook I ordered was model number 14-q010nr, as far as I know. Note the difference between this model and the one you listed; there may be significant differences between the two. I checked the RAM on my particular model by typing chrome://system/ into my Chrome browser's search box. That led to a supposedly definitive list of all the laptop's specifications, including one that verified that it indeed has 4GB RAM. For what it's worth, I use my Chromebook extensively every day, even though I also own numerous other internet-capable devices, and have found it very handy and easy to use. Hope all of this helps and that you can find a Chromebook you like as much as I do mine!

Title is misleading.....precisely WHAT is NOT INCLUDED....the MEMORY......or the HARD DRIVE....or WHAT?
Suggestion....Just post your ad to reflect what IS included.....less confusion that way.

Everything is included. However, this is not your normal laptop that runs microsoft windows Operating system. It runs Chrome OS by google. It is essentially used for web browsing and you do not have full access to the hard drive like you would a normal laptop, everything is in the cloud.
