so far, I am beginning to regret buying this device. It seems that it originally ran on Windows Vista and there seems to be a number of incompatible problems with the display drivers. Although I am NOT using this computer myself I bought it for a friend, she seems to be having a lot of crashes due to insufficient drivers. I'm going to try to wipe it and do a fresh install but I am Not sure if that will fix the problem so in the meantime I would be very careful before buying this machine and less you really know how to install an update drivers

And be careful!  It has  been very buggy so far running Vista on top of an XP system.  I will probably have to wipe the whole thing and load a new OS on to it.  The screen keeps crashing saying 'uploading drivers' but then fails again.

HP 6530B 2.8 GHZ is the Windows 7 Professional 64 bit?

Yes mine came with 64bit. They give you a new install like a new computer would, they called it win7 pro for re-manufactured and you'll need the code off the bottom sticker of the machine. I can't speak for all of the machines but it looks like they replaced the CPU, hard drive and upgraded windows from vista to the win7 pro 64bit.

Does this laptop have a wireless card for connecting to the Internet?

Why yes.... yes it does... it is built in and you will find it on the top of the keyboard in the middle.  Be careful though.  When it is off it glows orange, just tap it with your finger and then it will turn blue. That is how you know it is on!

i looking for a laptop that for school and probably little a bit for gaming like online gaming will it be good for both or not?

Two slots for RAM. The extra 2GB of RAM given as promo is useless as machine came with two 2GB sticks already. Display is dim as others have noted.  Displays video smoothly considering no video card.  Would be okay for gaming but might slow with a lot of graphic info.  Huge updates needed for Win 7.  If you want to avoid Win8 then I think that it is worth saving $50 versus a cheap $300 new laptop.  Otherwise if Win8 not a problem...then "no", purchase a new cheap one

If you mean Wi-fi, then yes.  There is a button that you have to press to get it on (it starts out as an orange light.  Tap it with your finger and it will turn blue)
