There isn't a good picture of the keyboard layout.  Does the keyboard have a Num pad?

Yes, full sized numerical keypad on the right, all the way up to PgUp, PgDn, Home, and End, with proportionally double 0, +, and Enter.

Can you add an extra hhd in this laptop?

There is One M.2 SSD Port, and One SATA HDD port.   This has a Hybrid HDD in the SATA port, and you can add a M.2 SSD.  I highly recommend doing this, and then installing the OS to it, as you will see a significant performance increase by doing so.

There are many versions of the i7559, if you buy the SSD version the M.2 port is full, but you can add a HDD.

Is the RAM memory expandable beyond 8GB?

yes easily, it comes with 1 8GB just add another matching speed card and your good to go. I personally upgraded the memory with  2*8GB HyperX cards (HX316LS9IB/8); which perform slightly fast than the stock memory (~10% faster) and is offered a a very competitive price. I also replaced the HD with a 1TB Samsung SSD and a 500GB Samsumg EVO m.2 drive (boot). This Notebook is possibly the most user friendly NB I've encountered  for upgrading; almost the entire back of the NB is exposed by removing a single screw, everything completely accessible.  Very easy (still take static discharge precautions).

Is there room to add a 2.5" drive?

Yes there is room.  After I bought it, I added a Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 250GB drive with no problem.  Back panel is easy to remove.  It took about 5 - 10 minutes, even for a novice like me.

Can you install an m.2 drive? And can it support Intel Smart Response Technology?

Yes, this has two drive ports.  A SATA and an M.2.  This version has a  SATA Hybrid Drive and an empty M.2 port.

I would recommend buying a SATA M.2 as users have reported compatibility issues with many PCI M.2; although these issues may have been resolved with driver/bios update at this point.

Hi, does anyone know if the 4k touchscreen version is IPS? Are the viewing angles good? If it's IPS, is the IPS glow bad? Thanks!

Yes, viewing angles are excellent, the 4K screen is exceptional.  Win 10 scaling is a life saver, still a few applications don't behave well (yet) with the high resolution. I have not notice any edge glow at all.
