Is Microsoft Office 2007 installed on this particular computer? My daughter has to have office because she is on homebound from school. She has pediatric rheumatoid arthritis and Lyme's Disease.

Dell no longer install full version of OFFICE, these are usually reduced, w/advertising and a time limit versions of word and excel, no powerpoint & no data base mngt, more than likely the one on there has expired. but don't fear there are plenty of full version on the web for free, like open office. these can be used to open office formats, and save in office formats for others to open.

The main description says DVDRW, but the text below says Read DVD's, Write CD's.
I thought a DVDRW could write DVD's. Am I wrong?

yes, your wrong. It means if you use a rewritable dvd then you can erase and then rewrite similar to a hard drive. If your disk is a dvd you can't rewrite. look for dvdrw on your disks, the rw means rewritable.

Connected our home wireless.  Prepare to buy a new battery though, ours only holds a 30 min charge

The unit I received is in great shape though, well worth the price
I popped in another 2 GB ram and swapped out the wifi card with an "N" unit and it is a nice general purpose notebook.  Solid build and nice keyboard.  Easy to swap in an ssd too.
