can I use a mouse with this?

Yes, it has USB ports for wired and wireless connectors.  Although I use it without one, the touch pad is much easier to use and less prone to problems than my previous laptops.

does this laptop come with Microsoft office already loaded on it?

Widows 7 is just the operating system. Office is a separate product. Powerpoint is a component of Office. Many laptops offer 60 day trial versions of Office, but after that time, you need to ante up.

A very good free alternative is Open Office. It has all the functions of Microsoft Office and then some, plus it can import and export to Office file formats, including Powerpoint. I switched a couple years ago rather than contribute to Bill Gates' revenue stream yet again. I like Open Office a lot better.

Ours was new, at least as far as I could tell. I believe it is this inexpensive because it is a Pentium processor (x86), rather than a newer dual core or quad core (and the lower pricing of all the associated "older" components that come with being a previous generation processor).

Absolutely Not.  Windows never comes with office unless specifically identified as such.  Microsoft sells office for over $100 by itself.

This is my daughter's system, so I'm not looking at the system, but when I look at this model on Acer's website, it lists HDMI on the datasheet. Also, I have a couple other, smaller, acer models, and they both have hdmi.

We don't play games on this laptop, so not sure. I imagine you are referring to the video games that use huge resources.

The graphics rating is 4.5. My guess is probably not, in answer to your question, but I don't know for sure.

I bought one a few years ago and have liked it so much, I bought my husband one for Christmas.
