ON THE V17 DOES IT PLAYS BLU-RAY DISK?

Sorry I can't answer your question cause I don't have the 17-inch. The 15-inch I bought didn't come with an optical drive. I'd guess if I connect it with an external drive that can play blue ray disk then it should play fine because the USB connection. But I don't have an external blue ray drive so I cannot verify if that's true or not at the moment.

I bought this computer and should have returned it due to the ongoing WiFi issues (not connecting at all or when it does data transfer is slow).  I do really like the computer... when I can actually get online which right now is not at all.  :(  I would like to replace the Atheros card with a more reliable one.  I am probably savvy enough to figure out how to replace it, but am confused by which one I need to get.  I have read good things about the Intel 7260 but so many versions of it has me confused.  Does Newegg sell these?  Which one do I need?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As someone who bought two of these and is experiencing the same unreliable wifi issues on BOTH I agree that something is clearly wrong with the atheros card.  I contacted acer directly by chat and asked to purchase one of the other nic cards for which driver downloads are displayed on their site and they said via chat support that it's a warranty issue and they would replace my nic card...  I told I did NOT want atheros chip and he said all he could do was put a note on there.  I could not get him to indicate any sort of way for me to purchase the other cards.

What is powering a 4k display - embedded Intel 4400 graphics or nvidia? If I don't install Nvidia drivers - would computer still work?

Graphics change depending on the game, when it becomes hard for the computer to run at 4k res, it will switch to the 860m. Drivers are optional and the computer would still work, though I recommend updating, the newest drivers run the best.
