does this unit have a network 45rj port?

I don't know about the 45rj port, but if I were to give you advice... This laptop is definitely not worth it. Due to the laptop having a good graphics card, Acer decided to spend less on screen quality (Very Flimsy... you can actually bend the screen if you wanted to), the keyboard isn't very responsive and same with the mouse touchpad. My laptop screen started getting purple lines 3 months after buying it and right now the screen doesn't work anymore. If I were you, I would go and look for a different brand of laptop.

no this isn't touchscreen, it also does not have a dvd player. something im missing. After using for a few months now, the space bar is now not working.

I believe so. You can check at notebook check . Net. The screen is matte for sure (no glare) and based on my personal experience, it seems nicer than other laptop screens I've had.

If you're running regular programs like web browsing or ms word I'd say 5 to 6 hours, but if you're doing some heavy gaming probably 3 at most. It's more of a gaming laptop so I leave mine plugged in usually.

What is the total weight of the box ( including the laptop and charger and everything ) ?

According to the UPS tracking number I got it was 8.8 lbs. That also includes an outer box so you could take off .5 lbs and it's likely 8.3 lbs total.

Can I swap out the hdd for a ssd?

Yes, fairly easily. You remove all the screws on the bottom of the laptop, then use a spudger, credit card, or fingernails to pry the base in half. The clips will pop and it should come apart without too much work, to reveal the HDD slot in the bottom right corner
