I cannot see a headphone port in the pictures, is there one and is there also a mic in port?

for the laptop i am an owner of one. there is a port on the left side right next to the usb and its a combo port. so a little sad on that side but its all good, and it has a built in program to select what kinda audio device. which consists of line in, mic in, headphone, speaker out, and headset. hope this helped.

Question 2

How hot can this get after being used for a couple of hours. . I lenjoy using gaming laptops to play my games but when you are traveling on a plane or in the car it is hard to keep the Computer on the lap for long periods of time. I currently have an asus that gstarts to burn theas soon as you start WoW or D3. Anyone know? thank you

I play some graphic intensive games on this machine and I won't lie, it gets kind of hot.  Not right away though.  It takes about 20 minutes.  Mostly out the back fans though.  It gets a little warm right under the gpu, but it won't burn you.  I wouldn't even say that the exhaust is burning hot either.  It does however get hot though.  It depends on your tolerance level.  If your sensitive then it's probably too hot.  If not then it is tolerable.

Does this model have a Thunderbolt 3 port?

I don't have the laptop yet (i'm lurking for better price). but the manual says it does - "Connects to USB devices that adopt the USB Type-C connector. Supports Thunderbolt 3, displays, and USB 3.1 Type-C, Gen 2 with transfer speeds up to 10 Gb/s."

Is there an additional slot for another storage device? Thinking of putting an SSD in as a boot drive, and using the provided TB HDD as a storage drive.

Yes, there is a M.2 slot available where you can add a SSD drive. I did this and is working incredibly fast.

Do they have model just like this but with a matte display? Judging from the pictures the screen looks glossy.

from reviews on youtube granted, the prior module the 591G its a matte display or i should say it looks matte i think the higher res versions have glossy i know on the y50 4k its a glossy if i am correct and then the 1080p version is a matte. i could be wrong but that is my observation. again take what i say with a grain of salt in other words this is just what i see and have noticed.

About the RAM, there are two slots for DDR4 2133MHz. This model comes with one 8GB module and one slot available. There is a M.2 slot available where you can add a SSD drive (80.00mm).

Can this laptop drive an external 4K monitor? Through HDMI or usb-c thunderbolt port?

I only ran a 1080p monitor through HDMI, so I could not tell you if this will support a 4K external monitor. My laptop has been unstable for several months now anyway so I could not even try that if I wanted to. It restarts itself at random intervals, so I gave it to my 7 year old to practice reading (and patience).
