I just got this computer today but I can't figure out how to right click with the mouse, also is there a way to scroll with the mouse? If anyone could help that would be great. This is driving me crazy!

I got mine about a year ago, and I was able to just push the right bottom side of the mouse pad to right click. You MAY have to instal the drivers manually (I can't remember because I put win 7 on mine imidiately) the drivers should be on the disk that comes with it but if not they are called ELCAN touchpad drivers (I think :S ) hope this helps

No touch-screen on this model. I remember seeing a touch-screen version elsewhere on Newegg though—it just costs a little more for that one.

This is supposed to have a 32GB SSD, but disk management says it's only about 12GB. Anyone know why this is? I RMA'd my last one for this reason, and the replacement is exactly the same.

The SSD comes setup as a cache drive in RAID, so seeing 12 GB is normal. If you want to use the full drive (~29 GB) you need to disable it as a cache drive, disable RAID, and format/make a new volume.

I would like to replace the internal drive of this notebook computer with a pure SSD drive instead of hybrid. What kind of drive do I need to look for? SATA, SATA II, or SATA III. And what form factor?

I did exactly what you are looking to do. I replaced the internal HDD with a 7mm form factor SSD, a Crucial m500 in my case, which is playing well with the Avatar. I think the motherboard on the Avatar is fixed at 3Gb/sec, so money spent on a 6Gb/sec SSD might not be worthwhile. The factory BIOS did not like me changing the HD setting to SSCI, so I left it in the factory set RAID setting, and formated the internal 32GB SSD to used as a backup drive, etc. I also installed windows 7, but that was just my preference. As I know that many people don't like windows 8, have any of you installed windows 7 and if so did it find all the correct drivers, or did it leave a few unknown?

You shouldn't have any issues installing Windows 7 on it. Win 8 uses the same driver model as Win 7. You may have to download a few drivers though, since base Windows doesn't contain many 3rd party drivers. Also keep in mind this laptop doesn't have a DVD drive, so you'd need to boot from USB.

How does one move the operating system onto the SSD? And if one wants the OS to be Windows 7 rather than 8, how does one do that? Finally, will this machine run Windows 8.1?

As for Windows 8.1, it is no problem,  Log into the Micrsoft Store (use the store tile on the metro interface) and you should see the 8.1upgrade.  The SSD drive on this is set as cache, that is why most people see it as RAID in the BIOS.  It is tricky to load the whole OS just the SSD portion, because of limited space you have to be knowledgeable about paging and application install pathways or you will be maxed out in 2 secs flat.  For Windows 7, most everything works, the USB3 driver is the trickiest.  You will need to boot from USB (with Win7 install files or a USB DVD ROM with a Win 7 DVD), install as normal and then go use the CD that came with the machine to install the drivers (Win 8 version, work with Win7 for the most part).
