Dell Alienware 16X Aurora 16" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus - 16GB - 1TB SSD - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 - Windows 11 Home - Wi-Fi - BT - Webcam - 956PD

The Alienware 16X Aurora is a 16-inch gaming laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics, 16GB memory, and a 1TB SSD, suited to gamers who want a high-spec system for gaming and everyday computing.

Recommended For

• PC gamers who want a sharp 16-inch OLED screen for visually rich games and a high refresh rate for fast-paced play, and are comfortable adjusting settings in demanding titles to balance image quality and frame rate.
• Players who want one laptop for gaming and CPU-heavy work such as compiling, coding, or running demanding productivity apps, with a powerful Core Ultra 9 processor and a discrete RTX graphics card.
• Users who mostly work or play near a power outlet and want a 16-inch gaming laptop they can move between rooms or take on occasional trips, rather than a lightweight everyday carry.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• Playing recent single-player games at the laptop’s 2560 × 1600 resolution: the RTX 5070 configuration can make many games playable at high detail, while demanding ray-traced titles may call for DLSS or reduced settings to keep frame rates smooth.
• Playing fast-paced competitive games at home: the 240Hz OLED screen supports a smooth, responsive-feeling view, especially when a game can run at high frame rates; demanding games may not use the full refresh rate.
• Editing photos, video, or other visual projects between gaming sessions: the high-resolution OLED display gives detailed, colorful previews, and the processor is suited to general productivity work; larger projects may be limited by this configuration’s 16GB of memory.
• Gaming for long sessions at a desk: performance is more consistent when the laptop is plugged in, but reviewers report audible fans under load, so headphones or a separate gaming space may suit extended play.
• Taking one laptop between home, work, or class: it can handle everyday browsing and productivity as well as gaming, but its roughly 4.85-pound listed weight and reviewers’ mixed battery-life findings make it less convenient for a full day of carrying and unplugged use.
