Looks like it. The adapter says "Wide input range, 110-240 V" and says to replace it with HP SPARE 613149-001.

I can't answer since I don't use Windows 8 with this laptop and don't have a need for multi-touch functions, but as far as I know, most newer hardware is supported by the windows 8 drivers that include multi-touch functions. The product is basically an unbranded HP... you may find more information from HP support.

where do i download device drivers for this after installing windows? the included cd does not seem to have the drivers on it.

It comes with a drivers CD, but the installers are all in folders with foreign names. Most of the drivers included on the disc are labeled as windows 8 but they should be compatible with windows 7 64 bit. the only drivers you should really focus on getting from the internet are the Realtek LAN drivers, the APU drivers from AMD and another AMD package that includes the SMBus and USB 3.0 drivers.

What is the maximum amount of memory that this laptop can take?

So the computer is a HP sleek book. 8 GB of ram is supported (up to 2 x 4 GB sticks). The only problem is that the ram is located under the motherboard. This means you must take the mother board out of the laptop in order to add more ram. I didn't have any problems, but I have taken laptops apart many times. I hoped that helps.

It does not. you'll need a flash drive and another computer to install an OS, as it has none included.

What kind of battery life do you get on this? I bought one recently and installed Ubuntu on it, but I only get about two hours of battery life with no programs running and the brightness set to low.

This laptop does not meet minimum requirements for Wildstar, it does for LoL but may need to turn settings down for smooth game-play.
